Overview: hotel description: Hotel Europa description

The Europa’s got a prime spot in Cervinia, just metres from the main Cretaz lift. As for the hotel itself, there’s a fresh, modern feel throughout, from the sleek bar to the brightly painted bedrooms.

In the mornings, fuel up on pastries and cereal from the continental buffet, before swinging by the ski room to grab your gear – toasty warm thanks to the heated racks. Then after your session on the slopes, head back to relax and recharge. Find your favourite tipple from the varied cocktail menu, or, if you prefer spas over bars, grab a towel and take a dip in the indoor pool instead.

You’ll be staying bed and breakfast, so when dinnertime rolls around you’re free to eat what and where you want. With Cervinia’s main street on your doorstep, there’s plenty to tempt you, so whether you fancy fine dining or a simple pizza, you should find somewhere to fit your mood.

Nestled in the heart of the rocky, North-West Alps, you’ll feel as though you’ve been transported to an Italian version of Narnia as you reach the end of the snow-topped pines and arrive at the foot of the holiday village. Airport transfers direct to your door from either of Italy’s Turin or Milan airports and Geneva means you won’t find yourself lugging your skis and boots in tow as you seek out your accommodation. The resort’s nearest train station can be found at Châtillon Saint-Vincent, 28km from the r...
With first-track skiing for early risers who can beat everyone else to the slopes, Cervinia is a snowball of varied surprises. 18 beginner runs make this ideal for novice skiers wanting to embark on their romance with snow sports. Take the chair lift up to Plan Torrette to get a feel for the gentler blue runs. This is a great place for children to learn as ski schools take young skiers up magic carpets and around a whole new world of slopes. A bucket load of intermediate runs means that already accomplished...
Après ski, Après ski, Après ski! A popular spot to start the evening is at the Grivola’s Irish bar which has a happy hour after the lifts close. To extend your night, move the party on to the village’s happening Bianconiglio club, which offers a range of music including live performances to suit all clientele. Few do food better than the Italians - Pizzas loved by locals and tourists alike can be found at the Sotto Zero, perfect for all the family with classic Margherita for the little ‘uns and Alpine t...
