Overview: hotel description: Hotel Cervino description

The Hotel Cervino sits just outside of town, in a scenic spot that will have you reaching for your camera. Inside, it combines a sleek modern look with nods to nature – you’ll spot curving wooden beams in the breakfast room, a mottled stone bar top and marbled walls in the spa. And when it’s time to hit the slopes, you’ll be taken from your front door straight to the Breul-Plan Maison cable car on the hotel’s own ski shuttle.

After you’ve kicked off your boots, the facilities here are just the ticket for some relaxation. Stop by reception to choose a slot for the indoor pool and spa, then unwind with some leisurely lengths or a session in the sauna. If you’d rather round off your ski day with a drink, head to the Santus lounge bar and watch the evening roll in through the wall-length windows.

Breakfast is included with your stay, so you can kick off your morning with a plateful of bacon and eggs, stacks of pancakes or classic Continental staples. And for evening meals with a side of Matterhorn views, go in for a half-board upgrade. You’ll get three courses of local cuisine – just the thing to get a taste of Cervinia.

Airport transfers direct to your door from either of Italy’s Turin or Milan airports and Geneva means you won’t find yourself lugging your skis and boots in tow as you seek out your accommodation. Take the chair lift up to Plan Torrette to get a feel for the gentler blue runs. This is a great place for children to learn as ski schools take young skiers up magic carpets and around a whole new world of slopes. A bucket load of intermediate runs means that already accomplished...
Après ski, Après ski, Après ski! A popular spot to start the evening is at the Grivola’s Irish bar which has a happy hour after the lifts close. To extend your night, move the party on to the village’s happening Bianconiglio club, which offers a range of music including live performances to suit all clientele. Few do food better than the Italians - Pizzas loved by locals and tourists alike can be found at the Sotto Zero, perfect for all the family with classic Margherita for the little ‘uns and Alpine t...
