The hotel’s in a peaceful spot on the outskirts of Borovets, so you’ll be catching the ski bus to get up on the mountain each morning. Otherwise, it’s a 12-minute walk into town, which means you can check out the local après scene in the evenings before heading back to the quieter part when you’re ready for some kip.

Meals are done buffet-style here, so grab a plate and load it with eggs and bacon or a pancake stack for breakfast. In the evenings, it’s more fill-your-boots food for starter, main and dessert, with a tasty mix of Bulgarian dishes and familiar faves. And if you get peckish in the day, the restaurant stays open at lunch for orders from the à la carte menu.
