Overview: hotel description: Hotel BLÜ description

Formerly known as the Hotel Salzburgerhof, the Hotel Blü has a colourful, modern look throughout – from the open-plan bar and lounge to the bright bedrooms, with light wood furniture and bold artwork. It's right in the heart of Bad Hofgastein’s pedestrianised centre, a 7-minute walk from the Schlossalm lifts. And if you don’t fancy walking in your ski boots, hop on the free ski bus that stops outside the hotel.

In the afternoons, head to the BLÜ-bar for some laid-back après. Or if you want to relax and unwind, the rooftop HimmelBLÜ wellness area has you covered – warm up in the sauna, stretch out your ski muscles with a spot of yoga or wander through HimmelBLÜ winter garden.

You can fuel up for the day with a hot and cold buffet breakfast. And in the evening, head to the hotel restaurant to enjoy regional delicacies and international classics. Add in top-notch Austrian hospitality, and it’s easy to see why this is one of Bad Hofgastein’s most popular hotels.

Just so you know, some of the photos shown here are artist’s impressions, so the actual look of the hotel may differ slightly.

This stunning location is considered somewhat of a “secret resort” and locals describe it as the “hidden gem” of Austria. Bad Hofgastein is a beautiful market town and world-renowned spa destination in one of Austria’s largest and highest ski areas with a tight-knit winter sports and spa community. The resort itself is a traditional, chocolate-box Austrian town that is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing ski break. Visitors find it charmingly welcoming and the historic décor of the area is very easy to f...
The skiing is considered world class - as the largest resort in The Gastein Valley, with access to four other ski resorts, you’ll find hugely varied terrain here. There are slopes to suit everyone and over the course of your ski break there will be no need to ski the same slope twice! The runs range from gentle slopes for lower level intermediates to very challenging descents that will get even the most seasoned skier excited. There is an efficient and modern lift system and the icing on the cake is access to t...
While the après here is fairly quiet compared to other “party resorts” it’s considered the best town in the Gastein Valley for nightlife. Piccolo is a popular après ski bar based in the centre of town – after braving a few tequilas you’ll spend all night dancing on tables to retro classics. If dancing on tables sounds a bit energetic after a day on the slopes, Kamunbar is perfect for a more relaxed evening enjoying a drink accompanied by live music. Head to Vision for the ultimate night out that’ll leave...
