Hotel Bel Mont Summary

The family-run Bel Mont has been under the care of the Perathoner brothers since 1966. It's next door to a gentle slope aimed at families where little skiiers can find their feet, plus there's a ski bus stop right outside so getting to the main ski area is as simple as hopping on.

Fresh white walls, tiled floors and wood panelling give the communal areas a modern feel, and the bedrooms are decorated in a more traditional Italian style. Downstairs, the spa is perfect for chilling out after skiing. Swim a few lengths of the indoor pool or head to the sauna, steam room or hot tub to relax.

Choose from sweet and savoury options at the buffet breakfast each day, and look forward to a 4-course evening meal. You'll have a choice of main, and there are buffets full of side dishes, vegetables and desserts to pick from too. After dinner, enjoy a drink at the bar before bed.

The stunning Gardena valley is a popular destination in the Italian Dolomites and St Cristina is the smallest of Val Gardena’s three villages - following its road east you reach the higher and larger resort of Selva whilst the northwest route takes you down to Ortisei. Because this Ladin-speaking valley was once part of Austria, you’ll probably hear the village referred to by three different names: ‘Santa Crestina Gherdëina’ in Ladin, ‘Sankt Christina in Gröden‘ in German and ‘Santa Cristina Valgarde...
The local area is fantastically suited to intermediates and below with the wider Dolomite area opening up much more variety for advanced skiers. Beginners will find the nursery slopes at Monte Pana and you can catch the bus to Selva for the some easy runs by the Dantercepies side; Plan de Gralba also has a set of gentle blues.
