The Hotel Alpen Roc is located in the quaint ski village of La Clusaz, at the foot of the Aravis mountains, you can enjoy wonderful views from the hotel's dining room, lounge and most bedrooms have fantastic views as well. Being a short distance away from the main lifts including the Crêt du Merle you can easily get on and off the slopes each day. The five interconnected sectors make it an excellent choice for a family ski holiday, as there is something to occupy skiers and boarders of all abilities. With 132 kilometres of predominantly intermediate slopes set both above and below the treeline, the terrain is diverse and interesting. This traditional mountain village with a charming square and Savoyard church has become the centre of the ski the area. Each street extending from the square is lined with sophisticated shops, bars, and hotels.
The has a lovely wellness area with a small heated indoor swimming pool, with floor to ceiling windows looking out to the snow. Also a sauna, steam room and whirlpool that offers a perfect way to unwind after a long day exploring the slopes.
At the end of the day, there is nowhere better to enjoy a drink or two than at the hotel bar. Built around a central fireplace, with exposed wooden beams, the bar provides a cosy and intimate space to meet with friends and family, you can also enjoy spectacular views across the Aravis mountains. The buffet dining means there’s a great choice of fresh and local foods, in the evenings there is also a cook to order area hosted by the chef.
