Set in the quiet Eucherts district of La Rosière, the Alparena has an idyllic piste side location, allowing you to ski straight from the locker room - with over 160km of slopes across France and Italy, you certainly won't run out of areas to explore. The location creates amazing views across the mountains, which can be seen from most areas of the hotel including many of the bedrooms.

Superior suites and bedrooms

Throughout the hotel, there is a warm blend of traditional alpine and contemporary style, with materials carefully picked to capture the ambiance and life of the mountains, creating a lovely atmosphere around the hotel. All of the rooms are furnished to a high standard with wood used throughout, comfortable furnishings and panoramic windows welcome you back after a day of skiing. If you are looking to have your own private space, the Superior Family Suites are an excellent choice - each equipped with a small kitchenette and living room with fireplace.

The Alparena had been built with sustainability in mind, the building has reinforced insulation and double glazed windows to retain heat, there's also a a wood pellet boiler to heat the building. The hotel is powered from mainly hydropower supplied by La Compagnie Nationale du Rhône and certified by Enalp - you can also find LED fixtures, automatic light sensors and digital boxes in each room to control the heating and lighting.

Relaxing wellness area

The hotel's spa room is amazing, with large windows that allow you to enjoy the incredible mountain views. Take a dip in the heated indoor pool or rejuvenate in the 34°c hydro massage pool. There is also a small pool for children. On the terrace, you could soak in a Nordic bath or enjoy the winter sun from a deckchair while taking in the fresh mountain air and panoramic views. There are several saunas and steam rooms accessible to use if you need to relieve your aches and pains. There is also a fitness centre with a variety of equipment if you wish to stay active on your ski holiday. The wellness area's natural architecture and magnificent views of the surrounding mountains allow you to truly relax and refresh.

Food and drink

Each day you can enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet with a range of sweet and savoury options, and when you return from a day of adventures a three course evening meal is served with a choice of main course. Many of the food products served in the restaurant are from the local region, with seasonal products from the Savoie being prioritised. If you are looking for a spot for lunch the Solario restaurant has a lovely sun terrace overlooking the slopes, and has a range of classic alpine dishes and après snacks.
