Location: where is Highland Lodge Hotel

The Highland Lodge has a great location in resort, it's just a short five-minute walk (500 metres) to the centre of Geilo.

The nearest ski lifts, nursery slopes and ski school meeting point are around 20 minutes away. You can easily hop onto the free ski bus which stops outside the hotel.

Highland Lodge Hotel provides cosy and attractive hotel rooms in the centre of Geilo. You can expect a comfortable stay here, with a wide range of wellness and entertainment facilities available at the hotel.

Down time

During your stay, there'll be plenty of ways to fill your time when you're not on the slopes. Make the most of the wellness facilities on hand including a large indoor swimming pool, Finnish sauna and fitness room with modern equipment ranging from treadmills, rowing machines and a variety of weights. As it gets later into the evening, relax in the cosy communal lounge area, play a game of billiards and enjoy a drink with friends or family in the bar area.

Highland Lodge is a family-friendly property and caters well towards children. You'll find a children's pool and large playroom onsite, both have free access included in your stay, meaning entertaining the little ones away from the slopes couldn't be easier.

Food and drink

Start your ski day with a tasty breakfast and treat yourself to a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a delicious baked cinnamon bun or croissant in the Highland Bakery.

When you're back from an energetic day on the slopes, try one of Norway's best pizzas at the Highland Pizzeria. All the pizzas here are made with fresh ingredients and are baked in a real Italian pizza oven. Or for a more sophisticated experience head over to Smakeriet, one of Geilo's most exciting places to eat, where the charcoal grill is at the heart of the cuisine. This restaurant is located next door to the Highland Lodge and you can expect tasty food ranging from meats, seafood and seasonal vegetables, all cooked in their Josper Grill.

Or you can visit Smakeriet, one of Geilo's top dining spots. Located right next to Highland Lodge, the restaurant offers a tempting menu featuring meats, seafood, and seasonal vegetables, all cooked to perfection in their Josper Grill.
