Or for a more sophisticated experience head over to Smakeriet, one of Geilo's most exciting places to eat, where the charcoal grill is at the heart of the cuisine. This restaurant is located next door to the Highland Lodge and you can expect tasty food ranging from meats, seafood and seasonal vegetables, all cooked in their Josper Grill.

All the pizzas here are made with fresh ingredients, and the thin crispy bases are baked in an Italian pizza oven. There are also options of pasta dishes and a salad bar to choose from.

Or you can visit Smakeriet, one of Geilo's top dining spots. Located right next to Highland Lodge, the restaurant offers a tempting menu featuring meats, seafood, and seasonal vegetables, all cooked to perfection in their Josper Grill.
