The Highland Lodge has a great location in resort, it's just a short five minute walk (500 metres) to the centre of Geilo.
The nearest ski lifts, nursery slopes and ski school meeting point are around 20 minutes away. You can easily hop onto the free ski bus which stops outside the hotel.

If you want to take the fuss out of breakfast, you can upgrade to bed & breakfast which includes a breakfast tray with a selection of continental breakfast items.
After a day of arctic adventures, there are several restaurants to choose from including the onsite Highland Pizzeria which serves Italian-style pizzas, pasta and salads. Smakeriet is also a great choice, with a range of meats, fish and vegetables being cooked on the Josper grill. For something a little bit different Sofias Restaurant at the Hotel Bardola serves tasty local and international dishes.
Make the most of the wellness facilities at the Highland Lodge Hotel, including a large indoor swimming pool, Finnish sauna and fitness room with modern equipment ranging from treadmills, rowing machines and a variety of weights. Two-bedroom apartments sleep 3-4 people and are around 56m2. These apartments have one double bed and either an additional double bed or a set of bunk beds. These apartments also have a seating area, either a shower or bathroom and a balcony.
Three-bedroom apartments sleep 3-6 people and are around 70m2. These apartments have one double bed and either an additional double bed or a set of bunk beds. These apartments also have a seating area, either a shower or bathroom and a balcony/terrace.

Guests staying in the Highland Lodge Apartments will be on a self-catered board basis, with the option of upgrading to bed & breakfast for an additional supplement.
If you are staying on bed and breakfast, breakfast is served to your room on a tray, and includes a hot drink, juice, yogurt and a sandwich.
You can buy breakfast and lunch from the Highland Bakery. Baked good are freshly made each morning and you can expect things like baguettes and sandwiches, bread, cinnamon buns and croissants. There is also freshly brewed coffee available. The bakery open from 7am every day.
For your evening meal, you could venture into Geilo resort and visit one of the many restaurants and bars available. But if you'd prefer to stay onsite, there are a couple a la carte options to choose from. Try Geilo's authentic famous pizzas from Highland Pizzeria. All the pizzas here are made with fresh ingredients, and the thin crispy bases are baked in an Italian pizza oven. There are also options of pasta dishes and a salad bar to choose from.
Or you can visit Smakeriet, one of Geilo's top dining spots. Located right next to Highland Lodge, the restaurant offers a tempting menu featuring meats, seafood, and seasonal vegetables, all cooked to perfection in their Josper Grill.
