Experience an all-inclusive Lapland adventure. The Harriniva Adventure Resort is a family-run wilderness-themed hotel and resort in a magical frozen riverside location. Enjoy the ultimate Christmas break while staying in a cosy winter lodge with your family, with all excursions, including a private meeting with Santa, and full board meals included in your holiday package. There's lots of snow fun and extra activities to keep everyone entertained - tobogganing, cross-country skis, you can even try and spot the Northern Lights! Given the remote location of Muonio, you'll have some of the best chances of spotting them here.

With four exciting Arctic excursions included in your holiday package, you'll have a jam-packed itinerary filled with fun for all the family! Whizz through the magical snowy landscape on a snowmobile tour or visit the Arctic sled dog centre and venture through the frozen forest on a husky safari, you'll also meet the reindeer at the historic Lapinkartano “Lapland Manor”.

Search for Santa

Let the festivities begin! A Christmas break in Muonio is not complete without a special visit to meet Santa. Santa's Elves are the only ones who know the way to Santa's secret hideout. You'll be guided through the snowy forests in search of Santa's cabin - he'll be waiting to meet you there! Take part in a baking and crafts workshop, make tasty gingerbread cookies and make your own Christmas decoration as a special souvenir to remember your trip. Have fun in the snow - try tobogganing, cross-country skiing and take a spin on a mini-snowmobile.

Reindeer Adventure

Meet the reindeer at one of Lapland's oldest reindeer farms! Enjoy a ride through the snow-covered forest on a reindeer-drawn sleigh led by a local Sami guide. Visit the small Sami museum and learn about the history of the farm through original artifacts and stories from your guide.

Husky Safari

Meet the excitable huskies on a dog sledding tour through the silent forest. It's one of the greatest ways to experience the Lappish wilderness! Grown-ups (18+) will drive their own team of huskies, with one or two people (aged 12+) in the sled. Children will have the chance to enjoy the experience from the sleigh driven by a professional guide.

Snowmobiling Experience

Zoom through the Arctic tundra on a snowmobile safari. Adults (aged 18+) can drive, with the option to switch halfway - so don't forget to bring your full photographic driving license! Anyone (aged 15+) can ride with a member of their group as a passenger and guests under 15 years can enjoy the experience from the comfort of a sleigh, towed behind a guide.

Unwind in the cosy Harriniva Lodge

There is a great choice of accommodation types including the sauna rooms which have their own private sauna, or the wilderness suites which provide a touch of luxury to your stay. The Harriniva Adventure Resort is on a full board basis, enjoy buffet-style meals and complimentary tea and coffee in the main restaurant. Selected soft drinks are available for children (wristband provided). If you're after cosy cabin-style accommodation check out Jeris Lakeside Resort - it's owned and run by the same family in another unique wilderness location in Muonio.

Lappish lifestyle

This family-owned hotel offers guests an insight into the indigenous Sami culture of Lapland, respecting Lappish traditions and has a strong connection with local nature. The cosy accommodation is powered by renewable energy and geothermal heating. Full-board meals include a variety of dishes made with local and organic produce.

During your stay you can visit one of the oldest reindeer farms in Lapland You can learn about the heritage of the Sámi people and explore the history of the farm through the original artifacts and stories. Animal welfare is central to all of the activities, the group are founding members of the ''Animal Welfare in Tourism'' service, a project that cooperates with the University of Lapland - this promotes a high standard of life for the animals through good living conditions, keeping them healthy and happy.

Being one of the few businesses operating in the unspoiled Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, you can learn about the surrounding fells and forests, and the natural resources available in the area- Harriniva is actively lobbying against large-scale logging in Muonio. In support of the local community, the hotel sources products from businesses and smaller Finnish entrepreneurs, plus regularly contributes to the local youth and children's charity.

The group is Green Key accredited, demonstrating its commitment to environmental and sustainable development.

Standard Twin Rooms are cosy-log style rooms, and sleep up to three people with three single beds. These rooms are available for single use on selected dates, please call to book.

Sauna Rooms sleep up to four people in a cosy cabin style room. These rooms have a room with a double bed, and an open plan seating area with a sofa bed - suitable for one adult or two children. These rooms also have a private sauna.

WildernessSuites sleep up to five people in a duplex style apartment. These suites have a double bed on the mezzanine level and an additional sofa bed - suitable for two adults or three children downstairs. These suites also have a mini-fridge and ecological Finnish hair and body products.

The Harriniva Adventure Resort is on a full-board basis.

Your first meal will be dinner on arrival day and your last meal will be breakfast on departure day.

Meals are often made with local Finnish and regional produce. Each morning you can enjoy a varied breakfast buffet with an assortment of hot and cold options. In the evening, you can enjoy a three-course meal often combining modern flavours with a Lappish twist. Plus one evening, you will have a special Christmas dinner.

There is complimentary coffee and tea offered in the hotel's main restaurant throughout the opening hours. Selected soft drinks are included for children, a wristband will be provided on arrival.
