The Val d’Allos is divided into three areas: two modern ski resorts - La Foux and Le Seignus - and an old mountain village called Allos.

King of the valley, La Foux sits up at 1800m, a collection of wooden chalets and mountain homes. Together with Pra Loup, it’s part of the 180km Espace Lumière which has a whole host of blue and red runs, and a decent amount of greens and blacks to fill a week on the mountains.

But that’s not your lot… 10km along the valley, Seignus is tight-knit a mix of traditional builds with its own 23km ski area.

9km from Foux and 2km from Seignus, Allos (sometimes known as Le Village) brushes against the Mercantour National park, and makes a pretty and traditional base to explore the valley from.

The tourist board have strict criteria when awarding this label, giving it only to resorts that provide entertainment, activities and a safe environment for all ages.
