There’s no missing the Festa Winter Palace, with its sweeping driveway, columns and balconies all adding a dash of fairytale-style to the building. And the theme continues when you step inside, from the frescoed ceiling in the dining room to the antique-esque furniture dotted here and there.

Location-wise, you can be out and on a lift up the mountain in less than a minute. And if you’re a first-timer, the ski school meeting point is a matter of metres away too.

Back at the hotel, Mozart Patisserie is on hand with hot chocs and cakes, so find a spot by the fire and tuck in. Then swing by the spa for some off-slope R&R in the saunas and saltwater indoor pool. Or head to the bar and swap ski stories over a round of drinks instead.

Hungry? Evening meals are served buffet-style, so everyone’s free to fill up on what they fancy. And with lots of international favourites on the menu each night, you should find something to tempt your tastebuds.
