Access to the slopes is easy too – either jump on the nearby free ski bus or take a relaxed 10-15 minute stroll to the Penken gondola.

This package holiday to Eberharter Apartments in Mayrhofen, Austria departs Saturday 18th January 2025, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

Near the end of the stunning Ziller Valley, Mayrhofen exudes Austrian charm in a lively, cheerful atmosphere. Dating back to 1511, its architecture's charmingly old school, yet all mod-cons are present and correct. The resort's location is fantastic: Only an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport. The family-friendly nature doesn't stop with its convenient location – restaurants cater for children excellently, kids activities are abundant, and the ski schools are well known as some of the best. If you prefer a leisurely cruise down the piste, the Ahorn's your mountain, while those who like to get the heart pumping will love north facing Penken's white-knuckle steeps, moguls, powder and terrain park. Mayrhofen is highly recommended for beginners who can learn under the excellent tuition of local instructors on both the Ahorn and Penken mountains. "Highly recommended. Modern. Clean. Faultless staff, secure."

This hotel cannot come any less than highly recommended. It is a family run business, the owners who are a married couple reside downstairs, they clean, cook and run the hotel on a daily basis. Very modern, probably only constructed a few years ago; large rooms, comfy beds, clean bedding, carpets etc. The bathroom was large, clean etc. Balconies which run the length of the room. Breakfast was freshly prepared every morning and was to a high quality. New, secured ski equipment area with boot driers. The main door is opened by your room key and is very secure overall. The location was about ten minutes by foot from the centre and the main Gondla, but only a 30second walk to the very ferquent ski shuttle bus. We got a seat every morning. Located close by; again a few minutes walk were a number of popular food places and bars, many of the locals and ski reps used the places. Suitable for families, groups, couples etc. No noise or roudyness. Staying here will be one of the highlights of your holiday, rest assured.
