The hotel is located on the edge of the historic centre of Bormio, 500 m from the ski slopes and 300 m from the thermal baths, combining the benefits of a mountain environment with optimal relaxation. A ski lift can be found about 500 m away, and a bus stop is located just around 20 m from the hotel. Tirano railway station is roughly 40 km away. Milan Malpensa Airport is approximately 200 km away. This hotel offers a total of 65 rooms and suites. Since the 1990s, the family have built and constantly renewed this modern hotel, which is designed in a mountain style. The hotel is ideal for a pleasant and relaxing stay in the spa and health resort of Bormio, and offers a bar, pub and restaurant, in which guests can dine and unwind. For a fee, families can use the children's playground. WLAN Internet access and a laundry service are also available for fees. The hotel also has a large garden with a covered garage, a ski room and a games room. During the summer season, some bicycles are also available for guests' use. Ski passes and the Bormio pass ski e terme' (a joint pass for skiing and use of the thermal baths) can be purchased directly at the hotel. The hotel features spacious rooms with all of the necessary comforts, as well as panoramic views of the Italian Alps. All rooms are en suite and feature a shower or a bath, as well as a king-size bed, satellite TV and wireless Internet access. In Lombardia, near the Swiss border, Bormio has winter sports and wellness holidays down to a tee. Ski lifts first popped up in the fifties, and by the late sixties the area had grown to reach a whopping 3000m high. These days the local ski pass covers Bormio's local slopes as well as those in nearby San Colombano (11km away) and Santa Caterina (13km). The Alta Valtellina pass adds Livigno (38km away) into the mix, as well as a reduction on the St Moritz day pass if you fancy a trip over the border to Switze...
In the Bormio area, beginners have training zones at the base station in the Gormiti Park, higher up at Ciuk (accessed by cable car) and also at Bormio 2000 by the cableway top station. This is the bigger of the three, with bars and shops nearby – you can drive up there, or take the lift from town. Intermediates have the run of the mountain, with red pistes streaming like spaghetti from Cima Bianca. The main watering hole here is the BeWhite Bar by the cableway base for Bormio 2000 –usually open from 3pm with themed parties and plenty of beer.
