Ski
Amongst the pines and the larches, the magic of winter sports fills the valley. At 1400m above sea level, enjoy the delights of the Hautes-Alpes. Fall in love with the slopes, whether you're a beginner, haven't skied in a long time, or ski as often as you can. ESF instructors are here to help you make the most of the snow, whatever your skill level. It's a slippery slope from first lesson to falling in love with skiing.

Hiking
Right by the Ecrins national park, Serre-Chevalier is a wonderland for those who love wide open spaces and smooth swathes of snow. Fasten on some snow shoes and discover the quieter parts of the mountains. Your instructor will be your guide for a snowy group walk. Untouched snow awaits. If you prefer to experience the mountain other than on skis, enjoy a trekking programme from Monday to Friday.Mostly on snowshoes, and sometimes with other disciplines such as nordic walking or hiking, these treks are supervised by mountain guides who will take you to areas away from the ski slopes.

Snowboard
Scattered larches, a majestic valley and incredible sunshine: welcome to the Hautes-Alpes. Even the thought of 250 kilometres of slopes is exhilarating. Let your ESF instructor show you how much fun snowboarding can be. Get your balance, ride over the bumps and most of all enjoy the view.

Fitness
Before or after a day of enjoying all the mountains have to offer, there's time to take a class in the Fitness Suite. Workouts and step will tone your muscles. Stretching will keep you supple enough to put your ski boots back on with ease. The heated indoor pool offers aquafitness classes, but is also a great place to relax.

Entertainment
As the sun goes down, the temperature drops outside. Inside, however, the entertainment is just warming up. Why not visit the theatre? Once you're sitting comfortably, your talented G.O®s will sing, dance and make you laugh. Finish your evening at the Izoard bar, and raise a glass to life in the mountains.

This all inclusive holiday to Club Med Serre Chevalier in Serre Chevalier, France departs Saturday 5th April 2025, for a 7 night stay on a "all inclusive" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

Spread across a number of villages and hamlets, the Serre Chevalier valley’s not your usual alpine resort – but that’s what we like about it. While you won’t find a main hub of restaurants, bars and accommodation, a stay in one of the villages gives you a more ski-focussed, budget friendly week on the mountains. Briancon, Chantemerle, Villeneuve and Monêtier are the four main bases, each with their own character, but all with terrific lift access to the mountain. Typical French Briancon sits at the fa...
With some of the best conditions in the French Alps (80% of the slopes are above 2000m) the ski area includes wide-open, sunny plateaus, scenic tree lined runs and a perfectly groomed blanket of white beneath your skis or board. The piste can be accessed from all four towns and nursery slopes run from each allowing beginners to gain some confidence in peace - with help from the excellent ski schools in the area they’ll be progressing higher in no time! Beginners will find a number of gentle blues and steady ...
There’s never a dull moment here and with four different towns oozing character you’re sure to find something to suit you. Ski down the home run at Chantemerle to find the popular station bar where après ski begins with a happy hour or if you’re based in Villeneuve, the Grotto at the base of the slopes is the place to be for that après ski buzz! 1420 in Briancon is perfect for an evening of sophisticated drinks. The liveliest après is found at Villeneuve with a number of bars for evening drinks - The Frog ...

"Very basic."

Very basic, so was to be expected. The staff were okay, this time the staff were ignoring the English guests. This was the one with least interaction with staff Food was only okay not the greatest. It was ski in ski out pretty much. Very close to hotel. Very bad communication, ski lessons for the children were bad. No communication was terrible.
