Hiking
Stride over the powder with confidence. Hear the peaceful muffled sound of your snow shoes as you marvel at the firs all around you. Exploring on foot is a relaxing way to see the lower reaches of the mountains. If you prefer to experience the mountain other than on skis, enjoy a trekking programme from Monday to Friday.Mostly on snowshoes, and sometimes with other disciplines such as nordic walking or hiking, these treks are supervised by mountain guides who will take you to areas away from the ski slopes.

Snowboard
At 1600 above sea level, high in the Giffre valley, breathe in the crisp air and take a moment to look around you. Experience the joy of snowboarding with views of the snowy summits. Whether you're a total beginner or just looking for some tips to perfect your tricks, grab your boots and board and follow your ESF instructor. Feel light as a snowflake as you glide over the powder.

Fitness
Create your own relaxing fitness programme to fit around your winter sports. Choose from stretching, step and more in the Fitness Suite. Set your own tempo in the cardio and weights room. You'll be fresh and ready to head back to the slopes.

Entertainment
After a day in the great outdoors, come back to the cosy cocoon of the Resort. As night draws in, songs and music fill the air. Sometimes children take part in the show, performing for their proud parents. Then the G.O®s step onto the stage. Get to the historic commune of Samoëns in just 10 minutes via the Grand Massif Express gondola lift that links the Resort to this authentic Haute-Savoie village. The journey by gondola lift offers breathtaking views across the valley. Every Wednesday morning, you can enjoy the slow pace of village life at the market where stallholders sell local products and crafts. It is one of the best markets in Haute-Savoie. Flaine Art Route
Strap on your skis and follow the Flaine art route and explore this stunning modern ski resort, built in the seventies and listed as part of France's 20th century architectural heritage by the Ministry of Culture. You will be able to see numerous works of art by famous artists such as Jean Dubuffet, Pablo Picasso and Victor Vasarely displayed in the open air. You can also visit Flaine Art Centre which is home to an ever-changing series of exhibitions of contemporary art.

The Immensity of the Grand Massif
Head off to conquer the Flaine area and get in some high-mountain skiing. Located at an altitude of 2,480 metres, the Cascades Run is an unmissable destination for skiers. The 14-kilometre run passes through an unspoilt natural area and is suitable for families. It will take you to the village of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, with its authentic shepherds' huts nestled in the amazing Cirque du Fer à Cheval.
