Chalet Violetta is an excellent ski-in, ski-out traditional wooden chalet located in the unique traffic-free resort of Avoriaz. Close to the resort centre, with easy access to all bars, restaurants and shops, the chalet is a classic modern, semi-detached wooden chalet, with 7 bedrooms across 3 floors, open plan living area and sauna. The adjoining semi-detached chalet is Chalet Perce Neige. Chalet Violetta and Perce Neige share an entrance hall but have their own private access to each chalet from the hallway.

Chalet Violetta has a bright modern feel combining traditional savoir style with smart functionality. The open-plan living/dining means there's room for socialising on your chalet holiday and gives a warm and cosy ambience while you can watch the horse-drawn sleigh taxis trot past.
The cosy bedrooms are decorated with traditional wooden style furnishings to create a classic chalet feel. All have twin beds that can be be made up as doubles; please request at booking. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms; 3 rooms have separate shared wc's. Downstairs, the wooden sauna with adjacent shower is perfect for relaxing in and rejuvenating tired muscles! The Ski & Boot room offers boot warmers.
The chalet is located near our other chalets in Avoriaz in the. It is just a short 2-minute walk to the nearest bars, including the Folie Douce & the Yeti. The traffic-free resort centre with shops, restaurants, cafes and the exhilarating Aquariaz water park are just a few minutes walk away from the chalet.
A snowcat resort taxi on arrival and departure in Avoriaz is included. This is a fun ride in a piste basher style vehicle, saving a 5 minute walk across snow from the Avoriaz Welcome Station (airport transfer drop off point and car park) to the chalet door, or you can take a magical horse and sleigh resort taxi (payable locally).
Chalet Violetta is a catered chalet with our Classic chalet board which consists of a continental and a cooked option breakfast, delicious afternoon tea and cake and a 3-course evening meal with wine included, all provided by your friendly host who lives out. Please note our chalet staff have 2 days off a week, a Wednesday and a Saturday. On these days they will leave continental only breakfast and afternoon tea out for you, but the evening meal is not provided, which gives you an opportunity to dine out in the resort, where there are plenty of lovely local restaurants, not to mention an excellent choice of bars and shops.
Arrival Days
- Monday for 3 nights - ski for 3.5 days
- Thursday for 4 nights - ski for 4.5 days
- Monday or Thursday for 7 nights - ski for 7.5 days
Chalet Hosts days off are Wednesday and Saturday. These days will vary over Christmas and New year.
Christmas & New Year 2024/25 - Arrival Days:
Monday 23rd December - 4 or 7 nights
Friday 27th December - 3 or 7 nights
Monday 30th December - 4 or 7 nights
Friday 3rd January - 3 or 6 nights
Check in/Out:
On arrival day you may arrive at chalets anytime from 09:30 to change, leave your bags and go skiing. Your bedroom will be ready by 17:00 at the latest but normally earlier.
Late Arrival Supplement - if you are scheduled to arrive at the chalet after 21:30 we will book a host to return to work to let you into the chalet, show you to your room, provide you with information to ensure your ski time is not delayed the next day and to provide you with a light supper. There is a small supplement for late arrivals.
On your departure day , bedroom checkout is 09:00 but we know that you may want to ski until the last minute, so we ensure that there is somewhere for you to leave your bags and change up until 17.00 Where possible a shower is made available for you to use too; this cannot be guaranteed until your departure day.
Please note that on guest change over days, between the hours of 09:30 and 17:00, both departing and arriving guests will be sharing the chalet public areas.
Transfers
Typically 1 hour 45 mins transfer from Geneva, including snowcat to chalet
Shared, return Geneva airport transfers are included in your chalet holiday:
- Arrivals Monday or Thursday
- Please book flights scheduled to land no later than 16:00
- You will be scheduled onto a transfer within 2 hours of your scheduled flight landing time
- Return Monday or Thursday
- Please book flights scheduled to depart after 11:30
- You will be scheduled onto a transfer to check in at the airport around 2 hours before your flight departs
If the shared transfer times do not work for your flight times, private transfers are available at a supplement
Please advise us before travel of any ski or snowboard bags you are bringing with you, for us to book a transfer that can accommodate these oversize bags
If you would like an early transfer from Geneva airport to Avoriaz, to be on the slopes in the morning, we recommend upgrading to a private transfer- please enquire
Seasonal exception: Friday December 27th & Friday January 3rd arrival and return shared transfers will run on the same schedule as Monday and Thursdays shared transfers
Your Avoriaz shared transfer will be in an 8 seater minibus
Avoriaz - the snowcat taxi is included to get you from the transfer drop off /welcome centre, to the chalet
