Location: where is Chalet Vallon

Immediately skiing! - The Chalet building offers a unique position, in the sought-after Praz de la Legettaz area, right on the piste with a very easy pisted path taking you directly to the Solaise bubble. It is ideal for getting to ski school or being the first on the slopes every day. It is possible also to ski back to the chalet via the steep black run, Epaule de Charvet, or via the red run, Santons. For beginners, the bus would be the best option to return to the property. The resort centre can be reached with a 10-15 minutes’ walk across the nursery slopes or otherwise with the local bus which runs every 15 minutes. The bus stop for the Train Blue route is literally a few steps from the door.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Vallon description

Savoyard flair- Chalet Vallon is on the second floor of a traditional chalet-style building shared with chalets Cascade, Santons and Charvet. It is a mirror image of next door Chalet Charvet. The living and dining areas boast a homely feeling with plenty of wood panelling. The Open plan kitchen is slightly separated leaving more space for the large dining table and there are L-shaped sofas and good plush seating. Furthermore, the direct access to the balconies provides stunning Bellvarde panoramas.

Relaxed and warm - The chalet is split into two levels with most of the clear bedrooms located on the upper floor. The quite cosy bedrooms are set with twin beds, they are all en suite with baths or showers and they offer good storage space.

Added points– This will be a great accommodation for skiers and boarders looking for quick access to skiing due to the immediate access to the pistes - you just need to step out the door and clip in! The chalet building has heated boot warmers in the basement and ski lockers at ground floor level. Free Wi-Fi is also included.

This package holiday to Chalet Vallon in Val d'Isere, France departs Sunday 12th April 2026, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...

"The chalet was excellent!"

Irene
5/ out of 5
The rooms were small, but we took Calvin’s advice when booking and went for the one with the higher headroom, which was a bonus. That aside, the staff were lovely, and the food was amazing. The majority of the other guests were all lovely, professional people and we had a super week with them. It really was a super week! The food was absolutely fabulous! There was plenty of it, can’t complain at that at all. The chalet is nicely located for the slopes and getting into town was easy enough. You went out the back door and you were on the slopes! You could put your skis on at the back door and go down. If you went out of your way you could actually ski back. If you didn’t and you ended up in the village, there is a bus that takes you up the hill, but also there is a little cut-through right from the bus stop to the chalet!

"Perfect location. "

The chalet was lovely, had a lovely time. No complaints at all. Food was nice and the wine was ok. Didn’t drink much of it but was nice to have. Ski in/ski out. Ideal for everything, as close to the action, but not too close. Easy access to the apres ski. Visit to the swimming pool in the village, which was really nice.
