This is a great little chalet nestled in the trees on a hill overlooking the main town. Nice secluded location but still giving easy access to the piste and the town centre – you can also ski back to the front door if you’re fairly confident. The open plan living /dining area is really beautiful having just b... + more

Location: where is Chalet Titania

Chalet Titania is located just across from the Folyeres (blue) piste returning to La Tania - it's not quite ski-in/ski-out as you have to walk across the road but it's very close. Nestling in the forest, just a few minutes walk from the village, the chalet also has easy access into the village centre for nightlife and shopping and is close to the village centre for that apres-ski drink.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Titania description

Catered chalet in La Tania to sleep 14-16 people in 6 twin en-suite rooms plus an additional annexe ideal for children, outside hot-tub, close to the village centre, piste and lift.

Chalet Titania has a spacious, open plan living area with the ambiance of a traditionally built log-cabin to give a homely feel around the welcoming fireplace. There's plenty of room to sit and relax at afternoon tea time or you could make use of the outside hot-tub facility with it's bubbles and jets to soothe away the aches and pains of a hard day's skiing The six chalet bedrooms are all twin rooms and all have en-suite facilities with shower, WC and washbasin - two of the rooms also have a bath.

Attached to one of the twin bedrooms, the chalet also has a family annexe which shares the bathroom facilities of the main room and has four single beds and an optional cot - this "suite" is ideal for families and the annexe room is offered at reduced child prices. There are no surcharges if the annexe room is not fully occupied - it just gives us the flexibility to cope with families with more than two children (minimum occupancy is 2 adults, 2 kids). This suite is also good for groups of families with several children as it could accommodate 6 kids in total in a "den" for them all to be together .... while the parents enjoy the solitude of the other twin rooms.

Note: Local tourist taxes "taxe de sejour" - 10.50 GBP per adult per week will be automatically added to your booking to cover the tourist tax levied by the French Government

Nestled in the forests between Courchevel and Meribel offering excellent access to both resorts, La Tania is known as the Three Valleys' best-kept secret. Proud to be eco-friendly, the resort facilities are powered by a hydro-electric system and has a car-free centre. Despite its modernity, the village has been designed in-keeping with traditional wooden Savoyard architecture, integrated amongst the beautiful forest scenery. The local businesses are mostly Brit-owned, but visitors can still find very French si...
Long green, blue and red tree-lined slopes overlook the village, and the Three Valleys provides a ginormous amount of opportunities for all different abilities. You can make your way over to Courchevel and Meribel on skis alone. There is a wide range of ski and snowboard schools offering group and private lessons for all ages. There are gentle green runs for novices from the top of the gondola all the way back down to the centre. The blue run ‘Folyères’ on the other side of the lifts is a great place to de...
After a day on the slopes, La Tania is a peaceful base to unwind in. The atmosphere is mostly quiet and relaxed, but some après fun can be found. Le Bouc Blanc is a popular restaurant at the top of the gondola from the village, ideal for relaxing in the sun with a drink on a deckchair. Great value for money, prices are a fraction to those in other places. Pub Le Ski Lodge attracts most of the nightlife, hosting regular live music performances and themed nights. The crowds gather for happy hour, and they air the...

...This was the third chalet holiday our group have been on to the La Tania resort and each one has been excellent. On a personal level - and the sentiment is the same for the majority of the group - this one has been the best. That in part goes to Chalet Titania. It is fantastically located. Excellently laid out (especially for 4 couples with kids and 2 couples without kids) Has great facilities, the hot tub was a hit and we NEVER ran out of hot water. That is priceless. The communal areas are lovely and spacious yet with a quiet corner if required and having wifi and a nice big telly is great. The chalet company were excellent in accommodating all of our needs. Two stair gates and FOUR travel cots is a big ask on any holiday, but up a mountain?? Having it all there ready for us set a tone that would remain for the holiday. ... Finally back to the chalet hosts. I don't believe we have ever been looked after so well. The chalet hostess was excellent in the face of small children everywhere. They thoroughly enjoyed her cooking and because of that she took a lot of weight off us parents after a hard days skiing. Her cooking skills are second to none, apart from the chocolate mousse not being the pudding for EVERY night (including the wed night off) I can only say that it was the best catering we have ever enjoyed on a skiing holiday. The diversity was excellent. I mustn't miss out the chalet host for praise either. He was working just as hard in the kitchen and around the chalet ensuring we all had warm food in the mornings, clean and tidy rooms to come back to and he made for great company throughout the week as well. Thank you very much for a great week at Chalet Titania, we look forward to seeing what comes around next year!

We stayed in Chalet Titania last week and this is just a quick line to say how impressed we all were with the chalet hosts who were pleasant, welcoming, excellent culinary skills and overall were extremely professional for such a young a couple. Thanks for a great week. Also despite skiing hard for 6 days I find that I returned burdened with 1/2 stone extra body weight. The suspected cause being 2 slices of fresh daily cake... might have to request fruit next time

"Nice and cosy chalet"

This is a great little chalet nestled in the trees on a hill overlooking the main town. Nice secluded location but still giving easy access to the piste and the town centre – you can also ski back to the front door if you’re fairly confident. The open plan living /dining area is really beautiful having just been redone for this winter (13/14), and the balcony was perfect for sunbathing in spring. The bedrooms aren’t fancy or luxurious but have everything you could want and are lovely and cosy – a real log cabin feel. The hot tub was a welcome addition at the end of a hard day, and is tucked away on the other side of the chalet from the road – the view is of trees and stream rather than people walking past with ski gear as in some other La Tania chalets. Hosts kept the guests well fed with delicious food and cakes all week – thanks guys!
