Location: where is Chalet Telekie

Chalet Accommodation - 200 metres from Morel Chair lift

Ski back to the door

10 mins to town centre

5 minutes walk to the chairlift

Meribel Chalets 1600

Situated in the Morel area in Meribel, which is just above the town centre. The town centre shops and bars are less than a 10 minute, downhill, walk away. If preferred you can take one of the frequent free resort buses there and back, which will takes around four minutes. The chalet is a 250m walk in the morning to the Morel chair lift, take the chair lift direct to the Alitport area, and head off of the day, avoiding the main lift area.

If you are booked into lessons starting at La Chaudanne each morning, you will need to get the free resort bus from near the chalet to meet your lessons. The location of the chalet means that if you choose to you can ski right back to the door. It is not recommend for complete beginners, although last season it was said "to give hours of excellent video footage" if you do. As you ski down the blue H'ulotte run, you will see the chalet off the path to your right, you can ski to the chalet or continue down the piste to the Morel Chairlift.

3 Valleys ski area Excellent ski schools Lively après ski

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made, and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A traditional alpine village with choc-box chale...
Meribel is one of the best ski resorts to learn in. There are three beginner areas known as 'Ski Facile' (easy ski) plus great green pistes to practise on including Le Foret and Altiport. Both runs are carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings. If you're skiing with children, there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees at the 'Pistes des Animaux' where children can learn about local wildlife as they e...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It's said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its nightl...

"An excellent week, highly recommend!!"

We had the most amazing holiday staying in chalet Telekie last week. Right from the start we were well looked after.... Water bottles and homemade flapjack on the transfer up to resort was the perfect touch. We were overwhelmed by the chalet, really good sized rooms and HUGE communal area which was great for our group morning stretches and dancing around in the evening :) The chalet is in a great location, an adventurous "ski in" which gave us plenty of amusing video footage, easy walk to Morel chairlift and just 5 mins down the hill into town. We couldn't have asked for better chalet hosts. Jac and Ashleigh were the loveliest people, clearly passionate about their snowboarding but also looking after their guests to a very high standard. The food was spectacular and they were very accommodating, even changing the dish one night to tartiflette which we asked for and was soooo good! They were also good fun and hope they enjoyed our post dinner drinking games ;)

"A holiday of the highest order."

Sophie and Emmerson were first class hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, the food was 5* standard, the chalet always impeccably clean and tidy and their customer skills could not be faulted. The chalet was large and spacious, bedrooms roomy and en suite facilities excellent. Ski hire was easy as Northface, delivered and collected direct to and from the chalet. The chalet location gave walkable access to the Morel lift or bus to Chaudanne. Overall a fabulous holiday due to the staff, Sophie and Emmerson, the culinary delights, the easy access to skiing and the spacious chalet.

"Warm welcome guaranteed"

I've just returned from a fantastic week in Meribel. I can highly recommend this chalet. It was spacious, well located and clean. There is a large seating and communal eating area. The food was good, especially the afternoon cakes. The ski hosts, Jac and Ashleigh were very warm and friendly and hard working. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the free shuttle bus which takes you down to the main lift station in Meribel. If you are having morning ski lessons starting at 915 you will need to take this as the Morel chair lift only opens at 9. To ski back to the chalet you need to be an intermediate skier, but catching the bus is easy and they go frequently. I highly recommend this chalet.
