The chalet was fine – comfortable and in a convenient location. For the nearest lift it was absolutely no more than a ten minute walk, and the hire place is on the way. A strangely attractive blend of retro ski chalet, modern accents and old Austrian style. People wanting good skiing and a decent nightlife will be very happy here. Overview: chalet description: Chalet Rosmarie description

Chalet Rosmarie enjoys comfortable en suite bedrooms with a spacious dining area as well as a small stube. There are half price places for children and a suite on offer - it is close to the lifts and nightlife, yet not too close to be noisy. All the bedrooms are en suite and have a TV. There are two lounge areas; one large enough for a sociable group and the other small area for a bit of chill out time. The cherry on the top is the sauna and relaxation area so you can ski hard, party hard then relax even harder.

Due to local regulations, we are no longer able to offer social skiing by our staff in St Anton. We are able however to offer one day's social skiing in Sonnenkopf (for a small transport fee, subject to demand and weather conditions).

Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. Thanks to local legend Hannes Schneider, St Anton opened the first ski school in 1921. The Skischule Arlberg continues to provide excellent tuition today, so beginners are in good hands. There's a nurs...
The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh). While it's reputation is lively (and the resort lives up to it) there are lots of options if you prefer a more so...

"Comfy and well located"

The chalet was fine – comfortable and in a convenient location. For the nearest lift it was absolutely no more than a ten minute walk, and the hire place is on the way. I’ve stayed in a few places and though this chalet isn’t quite ski to the door, it’s really not that much of a walk at all. Into town wasn’t bad either and it was nice to be further out of the centre as it was quiet and undisturbed. I thought that the food was fine and I think most of the other people staying there did too. The drink was OK for inclusive drink. The mix of attendees was fine. The connections were fine, as was the delivery to and from the resort.

"Nice bedroom, but some things were disappointing"

Our actual room was nice and big, we loved the television which was great. The bathroom was good, very spacious and lovely. We weren’t in the best room in the chalet, but knew that when we booked (it was in the basement). Overall we were pleasantly surprised with the room. The food wasn’t good – not for want of trying, the guy was really helpful and friendly and accommodated us with good children’s food. It’s not a personal thing, the meals just weren’t up to standard. The lounge area wasn’t good enough in terms of the fact that the DVD wasn’t connected and didn’t work. We knew we hadn’t got a fire, but we really missed having a lovely cosy area. When you tried to play music in that room, it came out in the dining area… In general there wasn’t enough for children with the DVD not working, and my son’s biggest complaint was not having any Wi-Fi. The boot room was good and we liked St Anton as a resort, it was just a 5 minute walk to the lifts and there were lots of ski hire shops around. If we went back we would probably book near the other lifts and we wouldn’t go back to this chalet.

"A very good chalet"

The food was great, they did quite a mix of meals. We had a few people with dietary requirements and the chef catered well for them. You never know what you’re going to get with catered chalets but everyone was very impressed. The living areas could have been a bit nicer but the bedrooms were all fine, all the same really – a good size and nice bathrooms. The chalet also has a pretty good location, about five minutes from the slopes. The only disappointment was that we were expecting 2 crates of beer in the package we bought, but we never got them and when we asked the rep he didn’t manage to sort it out for us.

At a brief walking distance of 250 yards from the Nasserein gondola, you have very good access to the main piste. While the town centre is around half a mile away, you should get a very good night’s sleep after the wobble home, with the partying kept at a healthy arm’s length. A nice option.
