Chalet Rosella forms part of our fantastic "Mountain Lodge" development situated in the popular Gastig area of St Anton.
Finished to an extremely high standard, this ground floor apartment-style chalet offers superb accommodation for a maximum of 10 people in spacious, comfortable surroundings with a lovely welcoming living area with soft sofa seating and a wonderful open log fire - something often difficult to find in St Anton chalets!
All the bedrooms in The Rosella are large in size and furnished to a good standard benefiting from ensuite facilities and a shared terrace that runs along the length of the property. There is also the great advantage of a private indoor swimming pool (for the Mountain Lodge complex) along with a relaxation area including a hammam and sauna in which to unwind and rest those tired legs after a hard day on the slopes (specific times of use). This fantastic chalet is positioned in a peaceful location, about a 13 minute walk downhill to the resort centre (a little more on the way back!). The free resort bus stops close by giving access to the Galzig & Rendl lifts and we offer a complimentary ski shuttle service on 6 days of the week at set times in the morning and afternoon, meaning access to and from the fantastic Arlberg Ski Circuit could not be easier. Rosella (also referred to as Albona in resort) is run by one of our friendly chalet hosts (with the help of a combi from time to time) who live in a separate apartment in the same property.
Did You Know... Rosella is a colourful parrot from Australia forming part of the Platycercus genus, which means "broad-tailed" or "flat-tailed" with their main diet consisting of mainly seeds and fruit - possibly not the most easy to find food in St Anton based on their incredible snow record!
We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.
Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.
If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.
Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.
