Overview: chalet description: Chalet Rendl (Mountain Lodge) description

Chalet Rendl is part of the Mountain Lodge development in the popular Gastig area of St. Anton.

Mountain Lodge chalets have been specially designed to specifications and finished to a high standard. The development consists of four modern ski chalets with a shared wellness area and plunge pool.

Chalet living

The chalet style is smart and contemporary, with open-plan living and dining areas including a cosy log fire. All bedrooms are en suite and some have shared balconies and terraces to give a light and airy feel.

Plunge pool and sauna

The four Mountain Lodge chalets share an excellent wellness area with a sauna, steam room, and relaxation area. The indoor plunge pool with whirlpool jets is the perfect place to chill out after a day on the slopes.

Location

The chalet is located a 15 minute walk downhill to the resort centre. We have arranged with our ski and board hire partner that all pre-booked skis and boots can be left at the shop just next to the lifts, leaving you free to return to the chalet or stop at one of St Anton’s renowned après ski venues in the centre of the resort.

There is a free ski bus stop just 300 metres from the chalet, giving easy access to the main Galzig and Rendl lifts in less than 5 minutes. A regular night bus service is also available at minimal local cost.

Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. Thanks to local legend Hannes Schneider, St Anton opened the first ski school in 1921. The Skischule Arlberg continues to provide excellent tuition today, so beginners are in good hands. There's a nurs...
The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh). While it's reputation is lively (and the resort lives up to it) there are lots of options if you prefer a more so...

"It was a lovely chalet! "

Nicola
5/ out of 5
The only comment I’d make is that I think we were the first guests in the chalet, and the two hosts were fresh out of college (which is fine) but they were very strict about not leaving the wine out or just pouring one glass at a time, I think following their line manager very strictly. We gave them some feedback to be a little bit more relaxed, it will make their time a bit easier and more enjoyable too. Otherwise, it was all fine and they were lovely. There was a hot tub and a swimming pool in the chalet and that was all fine, although I think the hot tub or something wasn’t working at some point. Me and my husband were also really impressed with the speed and support we got with SNO, because on the return leg (we were going by train), the Eurostar wasn’t working and they just got on and stuck us on a flight to get us home…we were very impressed by SNO and the support we got! The food was alright actually, again we just gave some feedback to the hosts for some simple things like warming the plates up before serving the food for example. But yes, it was all ok. It was really straightforward getting around, we went everywhere and there were no concerns. We just walked along to the bus stop and got that down.

"Great chalet."
