Overview: chalet description: Chalet Rendez Vous description

Chalet Rendez Vous (sleeps 9) - 1550m. Chalet Rendezvous is absolutely superbly positioned, right next to our "Italians" and can boast being one of only a small handful of freestanding traditional chalets within a stone's throw of the main Medran lift accessing the full 4 Valley ski area.

This super chalet is a little old-fashioned in places but having gone through a few updates over the last couple of seasons, it is totally wonderful in offering a shabby-chic style and really comfortable surroundings for everyone.  For those of you who know the property (and there are a lot of you as you keep returning year after year), you will be pleased to hear that the main improvement in the chalet for the 2012/13 season is the planned installation of an internal staircase connecting the ground and first floors - when this goes ahead, it will make the chalet even better than before!

At just a few steps and a 20 second ski to the Medran lift, the Rendezvous simply could not be better placed. You can ski back to within a few steps of the chalet and then enjoy a well-earned rest in the lovely living room in fron of the open log fire making the most of one of our sumptuous afternoon teas or perhaps a delicious glass of our house wine.  For those of you perhaps looking for some retail therapy or great apres-ski, the resort centre is literally a few minutes walk so by choosing a fantastic option such as Chalet Rendezvous, you really can enjoy everything this super leading Swiss resort has to offer.

One of our hand-selected chalet hosts will welcome and look after you in The Rendezvous with occasional help from one of our designated combi-hosts who live in an apartment at the top of the building.

Did You Know:  The phrase "Rendez-Vous" is know the world over and in many different nations as reference to a meeting point or time.  Why not make our Chalet Rendezvous your next meeting point with friends or family in which to enjoy a fantastic skiiing break away..

Meals: Chalet Rendez Vous food & drink

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

We update Chalet Rendez Vous's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Established in 1937, posh party town Verbier covers a sunny plateau slap bang in the middle of Switzerland’s 4 valleys – which just happens to be one of Europe’s biggest and best ski areas. The easy-on-the-eye architecture’s a pretty mix of wood and slate, but it’s what you’ll find within some of these walls that’ll blow your socks off… Blending in with dozens of classic chalets and ski hotels, this place has some of the most luxurious lodgings on the planet. Some hotels come with designer suites an...
Besides being famous for its off-piste routes, Verbier’s well groomed slopes are well known as some of the most challenging in the Alps. Although it mainly attracts intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers seeking adventurous off-piste and steeps experience, the 37 local pistes covering 100km provide for all abilities. The resort has three areas specifically for beginners, including the gentle slopes at Les Moulins, which has a children’s area and Les Esserts, with its 120m magic carpet. Those with a b...
Many say Verbier’s après is the main reason to visit – it’s certainly some of the best in the world and if you want to increase the odds of bumping into Prince Harry or Leonardo di Caprio on the dance floor, there’s no better place to party. From a good old pint in a lively pub (we love Nelson’s and Pub Mont Fort) to swanky cocktails with the socialites at Cordee de Alps, the nightlife is wonderfully varied. An absolute legend is the Farinet - with a huge sliding roof, a commanding position over the mai...

The location is excellent being on the home piste and close to the main attractions in the town. It is however a fair distance from the transfer bus location. The chalet sleeps 9 on 2 floors but the chalet is too small for this number. The lounge at best seats 7. On our stay neither the TV or DVD were working. The staircase is very steep and narrow. The ski store is not heated so boots need to be kept in the porch. The catering and service by the chalet staff was excellent. The wine was acceptable and there were severall types to choose from.
