Location: where is Chalet Rathia

Nasserein. Chalet Rathia is situated in the upper part of Nasserein. In the morning it is either a short 100 metre walk to the ski bus stop or if you’re feeling sprightly, 750 metres to the Nassereinbahn Gondola. This chalet is in a beautiful location overlooking St Anton.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Rathia description

This inviting, fully en suite chalet enjoys a relaxed atmosphere encouraging you to feel completely at home. Not only does the Rathia offer under-floor heating which gives the chalet a lovely cosy feel, but also a sauna where you can sit back, relax and unwind. If relaxing is your thing, the snug is perfect for some chilled, quiet time. Alternatively, socialites can take full advantage of the larger living area, ideal for after dinner discussions and drinks.  St Anton is a first class resort offering fabulous experiences on and off the mountain and Chalet Rathia is a great base from which to enjoy them all.

Due to local regulations, we are no longer able to offer social skiing by our staff in St Anton. We are able however to offer one day's social skiing in Sonnenkopf (for a small transport fee, subject to demand and weather conditions).

Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. Thanks to local legend Hannes Schneider, St Anton opened the first ski school in 1921. The Skischule Arlberg continues to provide excellent tuition today, so beginners are in good hands. There's a nurs...
The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh). While it's reputation is lively (and the resort lives up to it) there are lots of options if you prefer a more so...

"Exactly what it says on the tin"

The chalet does exactly what it says on the tin. Inside is a bit tired, needs a bit of work like a repaint and felt a bit hostel-y. No lock on the doors so the security was poor. Nothing untoward happened while we were here, everyone we stayed with was very nice, it just felt a bit awkward and would have been nicer if it was more secure. It’s not the closest to the centre of St Anton, it took a good 20 minute walk down the hill and because of the infrequency of the buses here you usually end up having to walk.

"Good value less central"

Private and relaxing, you’re in the outskirts of the resort, but with a beautiful and impressive view of the town from this light and modern chalet. Its underfloor heating, thrown in with its snug, curl-up-on-the-sofa vibe, is the perfect remedy for bodies put through the ringer on the piste - and that's no bad thing if you like to make the most of your week on the snow! The piste is three quarters of a k-away, and the town 1000m, meaning you are out of the way, but the bus stopping just 100 yards down the road will get you there in minutes. If anything, this means you’ll take advantage of all the town has to offer you while you’re there, making the relaxing sauna back in the chalet even more appealing (ensure you check which chalet facilities are available for your dates "before" booking a ski holiday, as chalet spec's do change throughout the winter).
