Overview: chalet description: Chalet Premier de Cordee description

FILL THIS BEAUTIFUL CHALET FOR 10 GUESTS AND GET A FREE PLACE

Premier de Cordée is a warm and welcoming chalet just made for relaxation after a tough day on the hill! Classic detached chalet exterior, modern Alpine interior with traditional touches and rustic timber panelling. Sunsets are a particular treat from the large picture windows in the West-facing lounge and dining areas.

The lovely local owner draws on her skills as an excellent school teacher to ensure that all is in tip top condition each season. Her meticulous attention to detail is much appreciated by our staff and guests, who often describe Premier de Cordee as the perfect chocolate box style of chalet.

The steam room is popular for post ski pampering, followed by an aperitif and natter with your chalet mates around the handsome log fireplace. All five bedrooms are fully ensuite, the largest of which can easily accommodate three guests.

Premier de Cordée is situated on the edge of the village ensuring a peaceful night, yet it's just below the main road where you'll find the escalator which takes you quickly to the village centre and main ski lifts. Aquamotion is a short walk away and a visit is very highly recommended.

As well as the escalator, guests can use the regular free bus or take a six minute walk to get to the village centre. There is also a boot warmer for those bringing equipment back to the chalet.

Chalet was really good. Bedroom was small especially with storage for 2 people. Staff were great, recommended a few nights out and restaurants. Portions were massive, the service was great. Close to escalator that will take you to the main lifts and town centre. Works 99% of time. Close to resort centre but is fairly quiet, perfect for us. Everything is as it states in the descriptions. Buses are great if esculators are not working

The Chalet was brilliant, all really good. The food was really good, really enjoyed it, perfect. Ski access wasn’t too bad, little bit of a walk up the escalators were working but would’ve been a trek up if they weren’t. We skied right across to Meribel & Val Thorens were noticeably busier. We didn’t use the sauna.

Absolutely perfect! 2 chalet hosts and they were brilliant. Very Friendly and sociable! Couldn’t have asked for more! Cooking and preparation was sublime! Some of the best food I’ve ever had! Sensational. Nut allergy perfectly accommodated for. Staff joined for a few drinks every now and then. Plenty of snow! A little tricky getting to the slopes. Walk down the road to the escalator which takes you to 1650. Sometimes escalators weren’t working so had to walk. Invest in a locker by base of 1650/1850. Walking can be tricky in ski gear. Tough to carry uphill. Chairlift by aquamotion, so no walking uphill as an alternative.

The chalet was amazing, really enjoyed it and will be certainly booking it again. It was such a sun trap on the terrace, a great place to have some beers, the only issue was we had to move the chairs outside, as there was no outside furniture. Phoebe the host was superb couldn't fault her she was quick to come up with a solution for no fish and made something from scratch with no difficulty or fuss. Really well located next to the bus stop, making use of the bus made not being bang in the center not an issue, it was absolutely brilliant. If you book your ski hire with White Storm, do so earlier so you can use there lockers by the ski lift.

"Nice chalet in 1650"

Alex the chalet girl was excellent, always very professional and an absolutely brilliant cook! You don’t know who you’re going to be with in a chalet but we ended up with a nice crowd of people. The only minor point is that our bedroom was very small – more or less the bed, a tiny bit round the edge and then a small wardrobe. There was a larger room at the top of the chalet which would have been nicer, but at the end of the day you don’t spend too long in your bedroom on a ski holiday. The chalet’s sort of at the bottom of 1650, there was a problem with the escalator on a couple of days but once it was mended, getting around was fine. We left our skis at the ski hire shop (used SkiSet) as the last thing you want to do is trug up and down with stuff.

"5/5 for what it is – not luxury but really comfortable"

Brian & Pete, Peak District

My son and I had a fabulous week, we shared the chalet with a nice bunch of people and even on the Tuesday when it was the host’s day off, most of us stayed in anyway and chatted. The food was great, there was plenty of it. The young lady who hosted us couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful, and on occasion that she had help from her colleagues they were always very nice. The chalet isn’t at the luxury end of the scale so the rooms were small, but you don’t need to spend time in them anyway. Ours was very comfortable and had beautiful views. It’s situated well in 1650, a short walk to the escalator which would have been a pain in boots but isn’t a problem if you leave your boots in the shop.
