All the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. A very good aspect was how well they did catering for the children. The meals for the children had as much thought and nutritional value as the adult meals. Only slight criticism was the rooms could have been bigger hence the four stars. + more

Three valleys is an amazing ski area, having a lift just outside the chalet was perfect. The ski run back home gets a little slushy in the afternoons but still very do-able. The chalet is about 15min walk from town but we only went there on the wed on the chefs night off, everything you want is at the chalet. F... + more

Location: where is Chalet Pierre

CLUB Pierre is located at 1600m, situated on the Hulotte ‘blue' piste and right next to the Morel chairlift to Altiport there is no better ski in - ski out location. A resort bus runs until late evening and takes only 5 minutes into the resort centre, for those wishing to stretch their legs the walk down to the resort would take approximately 15 minutes, allow a little longer for the uphill walk back from town. Ski hire is provided by Chamois Sports, just a 5 minute walk from CLUB Pierre.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Pierre description

CLUB Pierre is on the Hullote piste at the base of the Morel chairlift, providing real doorstep access into the heart of the Three Valleys ski area. CLUB Chalets are reserved by the room engendering a convivial atmosphere and lovely place to meet families or other like-minded skiers.

The chalet is a Savoyard renovation sympathetic to the needs of the modern skier; original stone walls, comfy sofas, antique furniture and sharp contemporary bathrooms. We also have a family suite that is ideal for a small family. The CLUB Chef offers a more flexible menu plan and choice of dishes, together with a canapé reception on 6 nights. The south-facing terrace and hot tub enjoy uninterrupted views across the Meribel Valley, perfect for making the most of sunny late afternoons and a complimentary beer or two. CLUB holidays are intended to distil the very best of the celebrated club-hotel atmosphere but with the intimacy and exclusivity of a private home.

CLUB Pierre has 9 bedrooms sleeping 18 guests. There are five rooms on the ground floor, all are twin rooms with en suite bathrooms and terrace. The living room and dining room are found on the first floor, and upstairs on the second floor are a further 4 bedrooms. There is one twin with en suite shower and a double room with en suite bath, plus an aditional twin and double room which share a bathroom. Rooms 8 & 9 on the second floor also have balcony.

Meals: Chalet Pierre food & drink

Our Executive Chef is passionate about food and hugely sensitive to the appetite of a hungry skier whilst considering a balanced diet. The new and refined menus are heavy enough to reward mountain exertion yet light and simple enough to leave you grinning not groaning.

All our catered ski holidays include;

  • Continental breakfast with a cooked option on 6 mornings
  • Afternoon tea will be left in the chalet for you to help yourself to freshly made cake or biscuits, bread & jams, selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate
  • Your chef will be offering canapés and a choice of menu on 6 evenings;
  • 3 course evening meal (6 nights) followed by cheese board and coffee
  • A choice of red and white wine is served throughout dinner
We update Chalet Pierre's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

3 Valleys ski area Excellent ski schools Lively après ski

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made, and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A traditional alpine village with choc-box chale...
Meribel is one of the best ski resorts to learn in. There are three beginner areas known as 'Ski Facile' (easy ski) plus great green pistes to practise on including Le Foret and Altiport. Both runs are carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings. If you're skiing with children, there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees at the 'Pistes des Animaux' where children can learn about local wildlife as they e...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It's said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its nightl...

Three valleys is an amazing ski area, having a lift just outside the chalet was perfect. The ski run back home gets a little slushy in the afternoons but still very do-able. The chalet is about 15min walk from town but we only went there on the wed on the chefs night off, everything you want is at the chalet. Free flowing wine, heaps of food. Hot tub was amazing and plenty hot water for showers. Room 7 is a little small for two adults, and definitely missing some hooks! And the shared bathroom was either missing a floor mat or hand towel at all times, and hair dryer broken. Staff were nice. So other than a few minor details lacking was a lovely chalet and holiday.

"Overall experience was fab."

From civilised flight times to happy and efficient reps the trip was easy. Our chalet hosts could not have been more helpful and cheerful and it was great to have willing drivers at our beck and call. The ski area is of course legendary - the pistes were better looked after in Courchevel then Meribel. The chalet was very comfortable and clean although I am glad we didn't have to share a bathroom. It was a bit of a trek from the centre of town but very convenient for the Morel lift. To include all beer, wine, champagne and canapés was a nice touch although the honesty book for crisps and tissues seemed a bit picky. I must say I felt the wine was not as good as last year and some of the food was disappointing. Last year I really looked forward to the evening meal, this time some of it was overcooked and lacked the finesse I enjoyed before. Although I didn't use it (I forgot my trunks) there were problems with the hot tub.

An alarm call every morning! that being a tea (or coffee) brought to the bedside table!!! what a start to the day. great breakfast, cake waiting for our afternoon return. a choice of starters main and sweet each day, followed by a cheese board! Nice size chalet. (A bit of a squeeze if all 18 people try to 'boot up' at the same time!!)It comes with a pair of rooms, twin and double, designed for a family, so if you are in one of them you share a bathroom. 4 staff to look after 18 guests and they did an amazing job all week. the lift couldn't have been much closer a few steps from the chalet, skis on a short ski path to the lift, and ski nearly all the way back, again only about a 30 second walk. nice hot tub, it could do with a few instructions for its use, it maybe common sense to shower after skiing before its use, but on holiday you may not think of it in the rush to get in, but then it goes out of use for 24 hours because it needs to be cleaned!! overall I would recommend this to any friend.
