PRIVATE CHALET FOR 4 GUESTS

We are delighted to launch this private chalet for just 4 guests, Petit Mire. Built by the same family who created our most beautiful chalets, La Belle Etoile and Azel, Petit Mire (named after one of the family) is also destined to become extremely popular. It lies just below Belle Etoile, near the eponymous river Isere, and is a very short walk from the bus stop which will take you either to La Daille or the Bellevarde Express.

Many people try and build chalets over just one summer to maximise potential earnings but this family know a thing or two about building quality and so have very wisely opted to finish it over 2 years. It was started in May 2023 and Chalet Petit Mire is now finished for this coming winter, 24/25. Look out for Chalet Mire for 6 guests next winter, 25/26...

The lounge and dining area is an extremely generous 40m2 (for comparison the lounge in our Chalet La Face is 42m2 and it is for 6 guests). It also has French windows onto a large terrace. Everything about Chalet Petit Mire is top quality, from the triple glazing to the fixtures and fittings to the beds and pillows.

One of the twin bedrooms has a private shower and WC but has no natural light and therefore carries a reduction of £100 per person. The other twin has an ensuite shower and WC. and a velux window There is a hot tub and a sauna on the ground floor of the building for the exclusive use of guests. There is also a heated boot room and a ski store.

Chalet Petit Mire is situated on the opposite side of the road to our own Cacholet chalets and it's a 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop which takes you to the main lifts. However...

Guests in Chalet Petit Mire can also use our shuttle service to and from the slopes in the morning and evening.

Breakfast

You need a hearty breakfast before your day on the slopes. Breakfast is served 8am-9am.

There will be a tempting range of continental options, fresh crusty baguette, porridge and cooked breakfast. We serve it alongside the good stuff… Heinz baked beans and ketchup, HP sauce plus real teabags from the UK!

Afternoon tea

Tuck into tempting treats after your day on the mountain. Help yourself to a freshly baked cake or biscuits, baguette and jams, tea and coffee which will be laid out for your return to the chalet.

Dinner

Canapes and fizz are served at 7:30pm as you unwind and relax for the evening. The fizz is from our friend and winemaker Nicolas Perret and is made just down the valley!

Dinner service is informal as we want you to feel at home in your chalet. Enjoy a home-made three course dinner using fantastic fresh produce.

Relax with coffee and chocolates after dinner… if you have any room left!

Wine

We serve unlimited red, white and rose wine with dinner, from bottles not boxes!

If you’re looking for an extra special treat we also have an upgrade Wine Lover’s Package. Mix and match 6 bottles of wine or 4 bottles of prosecco for £49pp.

Special diets

If there’s anything you’d rather not eat, whether for moral, sensory or digestive reasons, please let us know before you travel. We won’t charge you a penny extra.

Children

We can serve dinner early for your youngsters who will likely be worn out after a day in the snow.

Your Chalet Host will prepare home-made, nutritious and fun dinners the kids will love!

Please let us know if you would like early dinner times or have special requests by calling us.

Chalet host days off

Your Chalet Host has two days off during the week (usually Tuesday and Friday). We will lay out continental breakfast and afternoon tea to help yourself to.

In the evening, it’s a great chance to sample the local cuisine and your Guest Services Manager in resort will be happy to make a restaurant reservation for you.

We update Chalet Petit Mire's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

This package holiday to Chalet Petit Mire in Val d'Isere, France departs Sunday 7th December 2025, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

Ski never-ending pistes and powder, ogle at colossal peaks and cosy Savoie architecture, then end the day with some of the world's most wild and wonderful après ski. Val d'Isere is considered by many to be the best ski resort on earth, and we’re inclined to agree.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...
