Absolutely great, I had a brilliant week and the kids loved it. The chalet was cool, everything was fine. The only thing I’d say is that it’s quite a hike from the lift. You have the bus, and you’re told when you get there that the bus would wait for half an hour at the lifts and you had to decide a time. I ... + more

Location: where is Chalet Pascale

Peisey Village - a secluded, quiet alternative to bustling Les Arcs…
Chalet Pascale is situated in the authentic, pretty mountain village of Peisey, complete with village architecture and Baroque churches. It is only a 10 minute walk (approx.) from the village centre, which offers plenty of culture to immerse yourself in with its diversified heritage. The village centre boasts a restaurant, bar, town hall, cheese shops, butchery, bakery, grocery, ski shop, newsagent and post office. Right in the heart of the Paradiski area, it provides a great starting point for accessing the incredible skiing of both La Plagne and Les Arcs. Our minibus service* saves legs and whisks you the 450 metres (approx.) to the Lonzagne (bucket) lift which accesses Plan Peisey, outside of lift hours there is a regular free ski bus which runs until late to and from Plan Peisey. From here skiers can choose; enjoy skiing Les Arcs (local area pass available) or make the most of both La Plagne and Les Arcs via the spectacular Vanoise Express using a Paradiski lift pass - fantastic value for the extent and variety of the ski area it covers. It would be hard to find a location that gives skiers quite such choice and convenience.
*For the convenience of all, a minibus service will operate to the lift between set times morning and late afternoon

Les Arcs came to be in 1968 after a group of ski instructors and architects dreamt up a resort with all the perks of a village but a mountainside location. It grew into one of the largest, most incredible ski areas in the Alps. The closest airport is Chambery with a transfer time of a couple of hours, plus transport links from Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble. Present-day Les Arcs consists of four main purpose built villages. The original resort, Arc 1600, was created for doorstep skiing and is linked by a funicular ...
As you'd expect from one of the biggest ski areas on the planet, there's everything from gorgeous tree-lined runs to wild, white-knuckle off-piste. For beginners, each of the 3 main Arcs has 'ski tranquille' zone, and the wide beginner runs leading to the resort have gentle gradients perfect for practising. Local instructors are on hand to show you the ropes, with ski schools based in each of the main villages (1800 has the most). There are magic carpet lifts at 1800 and 2000 - an easy way for newbies to get up ...
If you're looking for a party, Arc 1800 is the place to be. With heaps of watering holes like the Red Hot Saloon (or the 'Red Bar' to use local lingo), Benji's and La Folie Douce. If you're looking for more of a French-style après spot, Ambiente Cafe has a really cool atmosphere and lots of nice cocktails (happy hour usually starts at 4) while Le club 1950 your venue if you're looking to party into the wee hours. Arc 1600's a little quieter but for good music and a scenic terrace check out Les 2 Têtes. In te...

"Great!"

I was there with my two daughters and there were 10 other people in the chalet, it had to be a group decision which time was best. It worked fine and didn’t cause a problem but it potentially could have if different people wanted to come back at different times. If my kids had had a problem I’d have had to carry everyone’s skis back, though I’m sure I could have called Damian if I needed to. If we’d used the box where the ski hire company was we wouldn’t have had to carry skis, but there weren’t any available.
