A really good chalet, the location is very handy being 50m from the piste. Regarding the resort, you’re a 15 minute walk from La Rosiere and we found that really nice – we liked the quiet and it just localised a few options for bars etc. The staff were very helpful and the food they served was good. We had a lovely holiday, even though there wasn’t a lot of snow at the time. The bedrooms were nice, quite compact, but it was fine. The location was perfect, but then again the resort is quite compact, so a lot of the locations are good. There were restaurants etc. nearby but we didn’t go into them at all. + more

Location: where is Chalet Papillon 3

The chalet's prime position near to the pistes allows you to ski back to within 50m and from 75m. It is close to the Les Eucherts Express 6-seater chairlift, ESF ski school meeting point, kintergarden and nursery slope, all of which are a short walk or ski away in the morning. Les Eucherts links to La Rosiere 1850 via a pretty forest track which can be easily walked in 15 minutes. Alternatively you can take a short local bus ride. However with its own ski school and hire, bowling alley, ice rink, bars and restaurants, Les Eucherts is a convenient centre in itself.

Scrumptious homemade cakes and a choice of teas are provided every day, best enjoyed while you relax in the lounge area in front of the log fire.

Dietary Requirements

We strive to ensure that your specific dietary requirements and preferences are catered for as best we can. Please let us know at least 14 days prior to your holiday start date, to ensure that this is possible. Our team can cater for special dietary requirements be they for medical reasons, religious reasons or simply personal preference. Our chalet hosts will be advised of these requirements in advance of your stay and every effort will be made to ensure that they are met. However, we cannot guarantee that certain ingredients will not be in the environment nor can we guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur.

Children's Food

Children aged 11 and under will be served High Tea at around 6pm. This is provided at no extra cost and ensures that your child's normal routine is not disturbed: soft drinks or milk are served with the meal. It also ensures that adults can enjoy their evening meal, which is served at 8pm. If you have booked a whole chalet then you can eat together - please speak to your chalet hosts on arrival.

The Festive Season

An Alpine chalet is a wonderful place to spend the festive season. We provide Christmas trees and decorations. On the day itself, you can look forward to aperitifs, turkey with all the trimmings, flaming Christmas pudding, mince pies, and of course, Christmas crackers. For New Year most of our resorts will have torch-lit descents, fireworks and other celebrations. Alternatively, you could just enjoy New Year's Eve dinner in your chalet with a glass or two of fizz.

We update Chalet Papillon 3's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

"Really good La Rosiere chalet"

A really good chalet, the location is very handy being 50m from the piste. Regarding the resort, you’re a 15 minute walk from La Rosiere and we found that really nice – we liked the quiet and it just localised a few options for bars etc. The staff were very helpful and the food they served was good. I’ve been to a few places and was quite impressed with this one, it’s very recommendable – not perfect but certainly better than a lot of places. I was very impressed with the whole transfer process, a very good experience.

Our host was great. Well organised, responsive and attention to details in food prep. Genuinely wanted to exceed expectations and was a pleasure to have around. He was flexible in fitting around our schedule and tailored meals and times to suit our needs. He enabled us to feel that the chalet was our home, in which he was assisting, rather than his home we were staying in - an important distinction if that makes sense. Christmas dinner was exceptional and the little extras much appreciated.

Our hosts, Alex and Dave were an absolute pleasure to be with. The meals were very well thought out, and frankly much better than I had expected. The boys showed a pride in their work that added an extra touch to our week - it was always fun to think about what they'd cook up next and they turned out a real treat - it's clear they enjoyed adding their personal touches to their fine training and it showed. We couldn't have asked for better. To boot, they were brilliant with and adored by our youngest guest (18 months) and our oldest (70 years), and I think that speaks volumes for their ability to flex to the needs of their customers. I miss them already...particularly as it's now back to cooking my own dinner.
