Location: where is Chalet Ours de Neige

Courchevel Moriond. Chalets Lapin and Ours de Neige are in a tranquil location at the entrance to Courchevel Moriond (formerly Courchevel 1650), next to our chalet Ecureuil de Neige. This gives skiers the huge advantage of being able to choose where to ski - Moriond or Courchevel (formerly 1850) via Courchevel Village (formerly 1550). The ski bus to Courchevel Village, which runs approximately every 20 minutes stops just across the road from the chalet. The chalet is also only 400m (approx.) from the escalator which takes you straight to the centre of Moriond and the lifts. From here skiers can enjoy the traditionally less crowded slopes, which also have a reputation for being sunny yet holding the snow superbly. From Village, the telecabine takes skiers directly to the Croisette in Courchevel. The ski school in Village is also the largest in the Courchevel area. The bars and restaurants of the lovely ‘real’ resort of Courchevel Moriond are only 500 metres (approx.) from our chalets.

Divided into five villages - each known by its altitude - the Courchevel area provides a series of settings to suit different tastes, group make-ups and budgets. For pure, champagne-popping indulgence, Courchevel 1850 oozes exclusivity and no-limits luxury. It's the largest and highest of the villages and boasts a private airport, twelve Michelin stars between its restaurants, two palace hotels, and many designer boutiques. It's a seriously swanky stomping ground for the fashionable, famous and affluent. ...
Ideal for those at the genesis of their skiing career, 60% of slopes here are beginner-friendly. There's a 'Stop Zone' where learners can safely conquer the basics before hitting the slopes, and 4 beginner areas (called Zen Zones) where you can gently progress – find two in the main area and one each in Moriond and Le Praz. As part of the effort to make the resort child friendly, the Indiens piste focuses on fun for kids. Activities here include face painting, a treasure trail and many other activities around a...
Après ski in 1850 is the height of sophistication. Enjoy a cosy fireside cocktail in La Mangeoire piano bar or La Suite Bar & Louge; sample fine wine and champagne in Le P'tit Drink or go clubbing in Les Caves de Courchevel. Down in 1650, you can fully appreciate the stunning surroundings at The Signal bar. Les Schuss is good for a quiet drink in a traditional Savoyarde setting and if you're looking for live music and a vibrant atmosphere, try Rocky's and Bubble Bar. Popular bars include Pub Le Ski Lodge, Waiki...

Views along with peace and quiet; these are the things you’ll get in this classic rustic French chalet. Wood panelled and homely feeling, its open fireplace is a welcoming return from a day on the piste; and the distance from the town and piste makes homecoming to this cosy spot just that little bit more simple. For much larger parties, ask about numbers to book its neighbour Chalet Lapin De Neige and have your friends close by.
