The chalet was good; my wife hadn’t done a catered chalet holiday before but she enjoyed it. The food was fantastic – absolutely off the clock. Staff were very good. Bedrooms were a little dated and basic but fine. It was just a short walk to the town and a short walk to the ski lift. + more

Such a great location: Easy walk to the busy centres bars, shops and restaurants. The Nasserhein lift is only a short walk away in the other direction as well. The lounge area is a little small but nice to sit and have a drink in- rooms are beautifully airy and extremely clean. + more

This traditional Austrian chalet is located close to the resort centre and the Nasserein gondola is only a short walk away. Overview: chalet description: Chalet Murr description

We are delighted to once again be offering the hugely popular Chalet Murr to our St Anton portfolio for the 2018/19 season. This wonderful freestanding Tyrolean chalet has been part of the "chalet scene" for many years and we are so excited to have recently got our hands on it to bring it back to life and to be able to offer super, affordable chalet holidays in a great location in this wonderful Tyrolean resort - probably the most popular location in Austria and definitely the "resort of the moment." This great chalet is ideally situated in an enviable position on Dorfstrasse which leads through the centre of the village and which links the Nasserein, Galzig and Rendlbahn ski lifts.

Whilst being quite simply decorated, all chalet bedrooms are of a good size, most with balcony, with ensuite shower-rooms with full facilities - two bedrooms have an additional mezzanine area to form spacious family rooms if needed to house a 25th/26th person. The living area is a little limited however the welcoming Tyrolean dining room provides a comfortable space to relax in after days skiing or perhaps after enjoying the apres-ski party in one of St Anton's famous bars. The closest ski lift is at Nasserein which is only a 5-minute flat stroll away and the village centre with its many shops, bars and restaurants is the same easy distance with the local free bus stop closeby for those who want to link to the other areas this fantastic resort and ski area has to offer. You will be warmly welcomed to Chalet Murr by a team of four PW chalet hosts and they (or other team members) live in separate accommodation on the ground floor of the chalet.

Did You Know... Chalet Murr is named after the after Karl Murr, one of the St Anton original families who have been in the area for many generations.

Meals: Chalet Murr food & drink

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

We update Chalet Murr's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. Thanks to local legend Hannes Schneider, St Anton opened the first ski school in 1921. The Skischule Arlberg continues to provide excellent tuition today, so beginners are in good hands. There's a nurs...
The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh). While it's reputation is lively (and the resort lives up to it) there are lots of options if you prefer a more so...

"First rate chalet amid first class skiing"

This traditional Austrian chalet is located close to the resort centre and the Nasserein gondola is only a short walk away. It's a large chalet and great for families or a group of friends, with spacious, bright and airy rooms all with en-suites and most with a balcony, where you can take in the crisp mountain air in the mornings. St Anton has so much to offer from the superb skiing in the Alberg area to the après ski which is world renowned. The chalet is only minutes away from the lively bars and resort centre, yet far enough to to allow you to peacefully rest up at night before taking on the pistes. At the end of the day you can relax and unwind over a three or four course meal with complimentary wine and coffee. The food is great and specially prepared by your experienced hosts, who have a wealth of knowledge about the resort and are only to keen to answer any questions. You feel right at home in this comfortable chalet, and it's definitely great value for money, in such a first class resort.
