Overview: chalet description: Chalet Montana description

Chalet Montana is one of Verbier’s finest and most stylish private homes

This vast property has been lavishly and painstakingly designed, inside and out, and adopts the latest in green technology. This luxury chalet in Verbier has been designed for comfort and has a fabulous interior, featuring neutral fabrics, old woods, and stylish bathrooms. Reclaimed 17th century wood paneling, intricately carved 18th century ceilings and flooring, and natural stones from the nearby Aosta valley have been used to great effect.

A spacious and wonderful home, the rooms are generous throughout, befitting of such a grand property and a rarity now in Verbier. The 12 guests are accommodated in seven bedrooms all of which have en-suite or private bath or shower rooms.

Discreetly located above the Chemin de Clambin in its own grounds, you can ski to the front door of the chalet which boasts spectacular panoramic views and easy access to the main lift station and the village centre. You can also ski to the chalet off-piste from the Le Rouge piste (not recommended for beginners).

The chalet is set out over four floors linked by an elevator and stairs. You enter the chalet either through the main entrance on the first floor or through the impressive underground entrance from the garage.

The main reception rooms of the chalet are set out on the first floor. Stairs lead from the hallway to the lavishly furnished living room with open fire. Doors open onto an extensive balcony with breath-taking views of the surrounding peaks. A library, with home cinema, opens off of the living room and sliding doors lead to the beautiful wood-panelled dining room comfortably seating 12.

The wonderful airy kitchen has been crafted in natural stones and antique woods and is equipped to the highest standards. The breakfast bar in the kitchen is a great place to hang out if you want to pick up a few tips from the chef. A second Swiss-style breakfast/dining room with television, seating ten to twelve, is a great venue for the kids’ meals. A guest toilet is also located on this floor next to the large entrance and cloakroom.

Stairs lead from the entrance hall to the top floor apartment boasting an impressive private master suite, office and sitting room, and a further single bedroom and dressing room with shower.

The large master bedroom is set at the front of the chalet with a private balcony, real fire, and wonderful views from the comfort of your bed. This has a comfortable and spacious bathroom finished in natural stones with large bath and separate shower area.

This top floor also houses a beautifully furnished private sitting room with fire place and a large study with private balcony. The perfect retreat for someone on a working holiday or craving a little quiet time to think.

A charming single bedroom (can be converted to a comfortable double bed) and an impressive dressing room, with private shower room, are located on the top floor as well.

Down from the reception floor there are located five bedrooms (one twin, one double, one bunk room sleeping two and two further single bedrooms) and the children’s play area. All of the bedrooms have either an en-suite or private bath or shower room featuring contemporary design and natural stone. In the two single bedrooms and the two-person bunk room, further pull-out beds are available (suitable for children).

At the back of the chalet is located a fantastic kids playroom. This has a stage, table football, TV area, and numerous board games. The room can also be converted into a small disco and has a bar area. There is a separate toilet for this area.

The lower floor of the chalet contains a grand hallway entrance from the garage and an area with a Hammam, shower, and toilet located off a games room with a table tennis table and a boxing bag. This area can also be used as a massage room. Also located on this lower floor is a large ski room with a separate toilet.

Please note a staff member lives in a private apartment located at the back of the property.

The chalet has two internal parking spaces in the underground garage and one additional external parking space.

Established in 1937, posh party town Verbier covers a sunny plateau slap bang in the middle of Switzerland’s 4 valleys – which just happens to be one of Europe’s biggest and best ski areas. The easy-on-the-eye architecture’s a pretty mix of wood and slate, but it’s what you’ll find within some of these walls that’ll blow your socks off… Blending in with dozens of classic chalets and ski hotels, this place has some of the most luxurious lodgings on the planet. Some hotels come with designer suites an...
Besides being famous for its off-piste routes, Verbier’s well groomed slopes are well known as some of the most challenging in the Alps. Although it mainly attracts intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers seeking adventurous off-piste and steeps experience, the 37 local pistes covering 100km provide for all abilities. The resort has three areas specifically for beginners, including the gentle slopes at Les Moulins, which has a children’s area and Les Esserts, with its 120m magic carpet. Those with a b...
Many say Verbier’s après is the main reason to visit – it’s certainly some of the best in the world and if you want to increase the odds of bumping into Prince Harry or Leonardo di Caprio on the dance floor, there’s no better place to party. From a good old pint in a lively pub (we love Nelson’s and Pub Mont Fort) to swanky cocktails with the socialites at Cordee de Alps, the nightlife is wonderfully varied. An absolute legend is the Farinet - with a huge sliding roof, a commanding position over the mai...
