Chalet Loori is a wonderful large chalet boasting comfortable & contemporary surroundings. The local owner has finished it to the highest of standards meaning it really is a fantastic choice for larger groups or perhaps smaller individual groups looking to meet like-minded skiers at a hugely competitive and affordable price. For skiing, the local bus stops closeby and it offers a complimentary shuttle bus service to/from the Galzig/Rendl ski lifts at set times during the morning & afternoon. The village centre is just a 12-15 minute walk downhill (perhaps a little more on the way up!).
This freestanding chalet is of split-level design, built into the side of the mountain, and offers nine ensuite bedrooms, a separate dining room and living room which has plentiful sofa seating and a lovely sunny balcony overlooking the valley and mountains. It provides the perfect location to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea lovingly prepared by your friendly chalet hosts or perhaps even a chilled glass of rose wine having completed some of the toughest runs the Austrian Alps has to offer, even perhaps the Valluga II which is definitely not for the faint-hearted! Alternatively, you can relax in the private sauna to ease away those aches and pains after a hard day on the slopes. You will be warmly welcomed to Chalet Loori by two Chalet Hosts (most probably a couple) who will, at times, have assistance from other members of the team. They live out.
Did You Know: John Daido Loori was a Zen Buddhist who served as the abbot of Zen Mountain Monastery and was the foundation of the Mountains and Rivers Order, an organisation of associated temples, practice centres and sitting groups in the United States.
We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.
Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.
If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.
Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.
