Location: where is Chalet Lea

Chalet Lea is located in the charming resort of La Tania, which sits between Meribel and Courchevel as part of the vast Three Valleys ski area. The village itself sits inside the tree-line, its snow-topped pines making this a picture postcard resort, and thanks to its small size, it is incredibly convenient, so you're never far from the slopes or the shops, bars and restaurants at the centre of the village. The chalet itself is set on the peaceful Route du Plan du Saz, just 200 metres from the piste and lift, although for more experienced skiers, it is possible to ski straight back to the chalet off piste through the trees. The main village is only a five minute walk away, so if you're thinking of venturing out for dinner in the evening, you don't have far to go.

Classic Contactless Catering Service

Your chalet will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready and fridges stocked*, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won't see us. We'll be at the end of the phone, but there will be no contact, unless you need it. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.

Our contactless catering service comes with the choice of two pricing options, a fixed menu with food and drink included in the price, and our à la carte option which allows you greater flexibility to eat and drink whatever you desire and the cost of the food is on supplement, at cost price, and depending on what produce you choose to order.

For those looking for a simple packaged chalet price, we are offering an all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast, afternoon tea, a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights, plus unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal.

Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. That's where our à la carte contactless catering service comes in. As an alternative to the service detailed above, we will also offer a lower rate, which does not include the food and drink for the week and we will give you the opportunity to order the food and drink of your choice, at the local hypermarket rates, and bill you for this afterwards. Four days before arrival, you will receive a comprehensive provisions list with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. That might be oven-ready meals, or the ingredients you'll need for Bolognaise, Soufflés or Cheese Fondues. Dry goods, dairy, fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat or fish, beers, wines, champagne, whatever, all bought for you and stocked in advance.

Our aim is to provide the safest possible environment for a ski holiday, whilst staying as affordable as possible. The new way to holiday will be by enjoying the facilities, food and beverages but without the staff waiting on you hand and foot. That will keep things safe and affordable. However, for those in search of a little more luxury, we are able to provide drivers, chefs, daily cleaning, ski lessons etc, all of which can be discussed at the time of booking or with our concierge service prior to arrival.

*Please note that for the à la carte option, all food, drink, ski hire and lift passes come at additional costs and are not included in the chalet price. Provisions will be billed at cost price and can be ordered from the list that will be sent out to you, and ski hire and lift passes can be booked in advance with our preferential rates. For our fixed menu option, the price does not include ski hire and lift passes, but it does include breakfast and afternoon tea for 7 days, plus a 3-course dinner with beer and wine for 6 days.

We update Chalet Lea's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Nestled in the forests between Courchevel and Meribel offering excellent access to both resorts, La Tania is known as the Three Valleys' best-kept secret. Proud to be eco-friendly, the resort facilities are powered by a hydro-electric system and has a car-free centre. Despite its modernity, the village has been designed in-keeping with traditional wooden Savoyard architecture, integrated amongst the beautiful forest scenery. The local businesses are mostly Brit-owned, but visitors can still find very French si...
Long green, blue and red tree-lined slopes overlook the village, and the Three Valleys provides a ginormous amount of opportunities for all different abilities. You can make your way over to Courchevel and Meribel on skis alone. There is a wide range of ski and snowboard schools offering group and private lessons for all ages. There are gentle green runs for novices from the top of the gondola all the way back down to the centre. The blue run ‘Folyères’ on the other side of the lifts is a great place to de...
After a day on the slopes, La Tania is a peaceful base to unwind in. The atmosphere is mostly quiet and relaxed, but some après fun can be found. Le Bouc Blanc is a popular restaurant at the top of the gondola from the village, ideal for relaxing in the sun with a drink on a deckchair. Great value for money, prices are a fraction to those in other places. Pub Le Ski Lodge attracts most of the nightlife, hosting regular live music performances and themed nights. "Just what we were after. "

Chalet was perfect! The location was very quiet and scenic. Hot tub was a godsend! Staff were very helpful, always kept our fridge & cupboards well stocked and always tended to our requests. Food was amazing! Having the contactless catering really worked well for us as we would usually stay out late, so having dinner when we wanted worked out well. We all took turns cooking/cleaning. Breakfast delivery of bread and pastries were brilliant! Short walk to the elevator which takes you down to La Tania centre, then ski down to the gondola. It was easy, but the lift was temperamental at times. We have stayed in La Tania before, so we know it well, but it is low down so the snow is patchy/slushy at times, so go earlier in the year. Lack of apres bars/restaurants but not really an issue for us. Group together to get ski passes.

"Would book this chalet company again"

I was part of a group, staying in Chalet Lea Jan 26th-Feb 2nd. I would like you to pass on my personal thanks to the young couple who looked after us during our stay. Their manner, service and general attitude was second to none, and they really did everything to ensure we had a good time. There was a minor blip on our return transfer to Geneva airport, but no inconvenience was caused and we made our flight.
