The room we had was perfectly adequate I would say, I can’t complain about that. The staff were great at the chalet. The food was excellent, it was really good! The location wasn’t fantastic, I have to say. We had to get a bus and walk to the bus stop, which was all a bit of a hassle really. + more

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Le Cedre Blanc description

The Chalet Le Cedre Blanc is a high-quality property with a stylish interior throughout. The light wood panelled walls add to the bright and airy feel of the property. Set over three floors, it has six comfortable bedrooms with modern en-suite bathrooms.

Cosy lounge

The open plan living and dining area provides a comfortable area to unwind with lovely sofas to relax on in front of the open fireplace. If you're returning from skiing to enjoy some coffee and cake or just wanting to relax, you can enjoy the fabulous views of the resort and surrounding mountains. There's also a balcony with stunning views of the Méribel valley, where you can bask in the winter sun. After a day on the slopes you can also unwind and relax in the sauna.

Catered chalet

Our chalet hosts are available to make your holiday enjoyable and relaxing. Six out of the seven days, you will receive a cooked breakfast, a delicious afternoon tea treat and a three course evening meal with wine. In addition to preparing and serving your meals, the hosts will keep the chalet tidy for the duration of your stay. Since you are on holiday, your only responsibility is to get up and go skiing.

Great location

The ski lifts are located in the centre of Méribel which is about a ten minute walk away. You can also find a range of restaurants, bars and shops in resort. Alternatively, it is a four minute flat walk to the bus stops that link the centre of the resort with the Altiport, giving you the flexibility of choosing whether to start your day at the Chaudanne lifts or go up to the Morel chairlift or Rond Point des Pistes. The buses which lead directly to the slopes, in both directions, are fairly regular so you won't have to wait to long.

Why is this a choice property?

Easy ski access - Méribel has excellent links to the Three Valleys so you can get out and explore the 600km of pistes in no time.

Enhanced Features - With an open fireplace in the lounge, a sun-terrace with mountain views and a sauna - this catered ski chalet ticks all your holiday boxes for a true winter escape.

Close to resort - The Chalet Le Cedre Blanc is also only a short walk to the resort centre where you can find plenty of shops, restaurants and bars.

This package holiday to Chalet Le Cedre Blanc in Meribel & Mottaret, France departs Saturday 31st January 2026, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

3 Valleys ski area Excellent ski schools Lively après ski

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made, and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A traditional alpine village with choc-box chale...
Meribel is one of the best ski resorts to learn in. There are three beginner areas known as 'Ski Facile' (easy ski) plus great green pistes to practise on including Le Foret and Altiport. Both runs are carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings. If you're skiing with children, there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees at the 'Pistes des Animaux' where children can learn about local wildlife as they e...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It's said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its nightl...

The chalet was really nice and we’d happily stay there again. The staff were great and they helped us with whatever we wanted, so no complaints there. The food was really good. Getting to the slopes wasn’t too bad actually, we just normally walked down in the morning. I don’t think it was as far away as the website says, so it was quite a nice surprise! We left our skis down at the centre of Meribel and so it was quite an easy walk without lugging the skis up and down, plus the bus stop was right at the end of the drive, so it wasn’t bad at all

This popular and recently renovated catered chalet is airy and spacious, with picture perfect views over the valley from the floor to ceiling windows in the lounge and from the sun terrace. The resorts famous nightlife is just a ten minute walk away, as are the lifts that will give you access to the entire 3 valley area, though the complimentary mini bus to and from the slopes makes the journey even more of a breeze! Don't miss après ski at the Rond Point and then on to beers at Barometer with one of their heavenly toasties!
