BRAND NEW LOUNGE, DINING AND KITCHEN AREA FOR 2019-20! NEW SOFAS, NEW LIGHTING, NEW LAYOUT.

Chalet Bel Air has been transformed by the work we've done to it over the last 3 years and now it has been made even better. The beautiful new wooden flooring and contemporary bathrooms made a huge difference and the new lounge has made an even bigger improvement..

Bel Air is a popular chalet for groups and those who enjoy the sociability of a large chalet. The dining area has a beautiful rustic wooden table, and there's a comfortable, bright lounge centred around a stone fireplace. The huge terrace is great for enjoying sunny moments.

The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and all have West-facing balconies (perfect for sunsets) and ensuite bathroom facilities with shower and bath in each – if soaking away the aches and pains is what you need after a day on the hill.

Another option for post-ski pampering is our fabulous two new outdoor hot tubs with shower room, which is in the courtyard just below.

Guests in Bel Air are welcome to use our comprehensive new shuttle service to and from the slopes in the morning and evening.

Alternatively the main village is a short journey on the shuttle from the nearby bus stop, or a nine minute walk.

This package holiday to Chalet Le Bel Air in Val d'Isere, France departs Sunday 12th January 2025, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...

"Fine, would stay here again"

A. Couple, UK

The chalet was fine! It was probably the other people there that was one of the best things about the holiday. The chalet is for fourteen and hosted 3 groups then me and my husband – we were made to feel very welcome. The company have an agreement with one of the ski shops who picked you up in the morning to take you to where you leave your skis, then dropped you back in the evening. From where the chalet’s located, the walk down the hill into town was fine for us. The food quality was good, the breakfast portions could have done with being slightly bigger (e.g. you only got 1 rasher of bacon and 1 sausage). Staff were really good. The only thing I would possibly mention is regarding our room (7) on the top floor. I’m only 5 foot 2 and the slope on the roof in the bathroom meant that I banged my head a few times, so if you’re tall it might be better to have a different bedroom! The room has a wardrobe and a bedside cabinet on each side, but there’s nowhere else to put stuff. Also it’s a little tired and could do with the curtains being re-hooked and a coat of magnolia. Overall, if it came up again as an offer I would consider staying here again.
