Loved the Chalet, really spacious, bigger than expected. Hosts were great, food was spot on, nice wine, loved the canapes and prosecco before dinner, was a really nice touch. The location was very good, managed to find a few shortcuts to the slopes, which gave us access in under 5 minutes. + more

Espace Killy ski area Fantastic après ski High altitude skiing

Tignes is somewhere you can ski longer, higher and further than most other resorts in the Alps. Owing its snow-reliability to the Grande Motte glacier, the local ski area is joined with Val d’Isere’s to form the mammoth Espace Killy - intermediates will have a whale of a time here. Choose between 5 different villages, whether your priority is convenience, cosiness or cheap accommodation. Tignes also has one of the most famous New Year parties in the Alps.

Tignes ski resort (pronounce it 'Teens') is one half of the stunning Espace Killy, one of the biggest linked ski areas in France. Because of its high-altitude terrain and access to the Grande Motte glacier, the resort is open both earlier and later in the season than many others and often the lifts are running for short periods of summer skiing. Predominantly purpose built, the resort itself is divided into 5 villages, each different in its own way but all well linked by lifts and bus services. The main area...
With varied pistes at a high altitude, the ski area has impressive powdered terrain for skiers and boarders alike. Beginners can practice on the nursery slopes at Le Lac and Le Lavachet, where you'll find gentle, quiet runs that are accessible via free beginners' lifts. Le Bollin at Val Claret is another conveniently situated green and Grattalu is a lovely wide blue for those wanting to build confidence. Tignes is incredible if you ski at an intermediate level, with miles of powdery blue and red runs includi...
While it's said that those who appreciate Tignes do so for the serious skiing over the après ski, this doesn't do justice to the fact that Tignes' 60+ bars/pubs and 4 night clubs provide some of the best nightlife in the Alps. All villages have their fair share of places to eat and drink, and with a shuttle bus service running 24 hours, you can enjoy your evening without worrying about the journey back. Jam bar is small but with a great atmosphere and Loop bar pretty much offers it all: with live sport, world c...

Definitely worth paying the extra to have a catered chalet vs an apartment. The staff, Jack & Luca and all the staff were brilliant. Amazing from professional standpoint and personally as well. All the food was great, really good quality. Happy to give lots of useful information. Perfect location. Almost ski in ski out with a blue run very close to the chalet. Everything was convenient. Check out bands at Cocoricos.

"Staff were fantastic, bending backwards for us."

The accommodation was beautiful, the staff were fantastic. Beckie and Steve, they were great fun and bend over backwards to ensure we had a good holiday. Food was incredible, did not have one bad meal. Lovely location, loved Tignes – had everything we needed. Maybe should not be advised as ski in ski out for beginners as on a red run. But fine for the intermediate and up. Get a private transfer! We had screaming children the whole way. Also, an accident on the road up to Tignes that made the journey 13 hours. 4.5/5

"Really spacious chalet."

One of the more intimate chalets in Tignes, and is full of innovative features that really set it apart from some of the other properties in the region. The floating fireplace in the lounge is a great centrepiece, and ensures you’ll warm up in quick-fire fashion after leaving the slopes. You can ski back to within 50m of the chalet on an unpisted route, and with La Lavachet only a few minutes’ walk away many would consider it to have the perfect location. Early booking is advisable if you want to grab the master suite - enjoying the sole use of the third floor - surely a private Jacuzzi bath is the icing on the cake of your dream ski trip.
