Rustic hotel

The warm and cosy Chalet Faure has a fantastic location in the historic centre of Sauze. Recently restored, the exposed stone and wood throughout give the property charm and character, creating a homely environment. Each bedroom is furnished in a traditional alpine style, and with rooms sleeping up to four, this is an excellent choice for families heading to Italy this winter.

Choice of restaurants

Enjoy an aperitivo before dinner at the il Lampione bar, its just below the hotel so you don't need to worry about venturing too far for a drink. There is over 250 different wines to choose from and you can often arrange a wine tasting with the team - its the perfect way to sample some of the fabulous wines from the Piemonte region (payable locally). The outdoor terrace is the perfect spot to soak up a bit of winter sun with an aperol spritz.

Each evening you can choose between three restaurants to dine in, giving you an opportunity to taste a variety of different cuisines. Head downstairs to il Lapione, where you can enjoy a glass of wine (payable locally) with the dish of the day, or head to the nearby Farola serving tasty tapas style dishes. Venture into the centre and enjoy traditional dishes from the Piemonte region at Restaurant Assietta. If you would like to dine in one of these sister restaurants, please let reception know beforehand and they will happily book you a table.

Milky Way Ski Area

Chalet Faure is situated a short walk away from the centre of Sauze where you can find plenty of bars, cafes and the ski lifts. With over 400 kilometres of slopes in the Milky Way, you won't be short of areas to explore. Explore the intermediate runs in the local area, head over to Sestriere for incredible mountain views, or make your way to Claviere on the French-Italian border for access to Montgenevre.

"Well located, lovely breakfasts"

Nicole, Leeds
5/ out of 5
The Faure has a great location in the old town, right above a really good wine bar. We just had a B&B booking and the continental breakfasts were really good, with lovely fresh pastries and local cheeses. They’re associated with a nearby restaurant if you want to book full board, they say it’s one of the best in Sauze d’Oulx and everyone in the hotel was saying how gorgeous the food was. We went there for dinner one night and it was superb! Our room was a double en-suite and had everything we needed. We tended to walk about 10-15 minutes to get to the slopes, it was quite uphill which made for good aerobic training! We were walking in snowboard boots so it wasn’t too bad. Would definitely go back.
