Chalet Delmontel is a beautiful freestanding Alpine wooden-clad chalet set in a peaceful and private location just above the Morel area of Meribel. The chalet provides superb accommodation with the Savoyarde decor being cleverly thought through by its caring owners who have prided themselves in providing traditional Alpine style combined with comfortable modern furnishings finished to a very high standard. There is a lovely cosy living room with open log fire and a dining area that leads to a wonderful terrace on which to relax over a well-earned cup of tea and slice of freshly-baked cake. Or how about easing those aching limbs in the sauna after a hard day on the slopes...
All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and the master bedroom has a large bathroom with massive corner bath (room for 2!) and freestanding shower. There is a sauna on the ground floor in which to relax and rest those weary legs after a hard day on the slopes. The Delmontel is situated in a very good secluded position with The Morel chairlift just a 5 minute downhill walk away (small ski when conditions allow). Alternatively, the complimentary minibus will provide access to/from Chaudanne at set hours during the morning and afternoons for those looking to access the other valleys of the huge Three Valleys ski circuit.
Local nightlife is by way of the Petit Oignons with regular live music or for those looking for great apres-ski, the infamous Ronnie and Folie Douce are just a short ski from home. The village centre with its many bars, restaurants and shops are about a 15-minute walk downhill and the free local bus stops closeby if you don't fancy the walk back! Did You Know: "The Man From Delmonte... he say yes". We would also have to give Chalet Delmontel a resounding YES..!
We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.
Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.
If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.
Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.
•3 Valleys ski area •Excellent ski schools •Lively après ski
Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.
