Location: where is Chalet Charvet

Lovely ski-in/out location – The Chalet building offers a unique position, in the sought-after Praz de la Legettaz area, right on the piste with a very easy pisted path taking you directly to the Solaise bubble. It is ideal for getting to ski school or being the first on the slopes every day. It is possible also to ski back to the chalet via the steep black run, Epaule de Charvet, or via the red run, Santons. For beginners, the bus would be the best option to return to the property. The resort centre can be reached with a 10-15 minutes’ walk across the nursery slopes or otherwise with the local bus which runs every 15 minutes. The bus stop for the Train Blue route is literally a few steps from the door.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Charvet description

Alpine feeling- Chalet Charvet, located on the second floor of a Savoyard chalet building shared with chalets Cascade, Santons and Vallon, is a split image of next-door Chalet Vallon. The Open plan kitchen is divided by the living/dining part of the chalet. The living and dining areas have a warm soul thanks to the good use of internal timber cladding and the lovely stone fireplace, the sizeable dining table will reunite the group for memorable dinners and skiing tales. There are L-shape sofas and plenty of snug seating and let’s not forget the balconies presenting some of the best Bellevarde views of the area.

Rustic and friendly - The chalet is divided into two levels, duplex style, with the bulk of the snug compact bedrooms on the upper floor. The bedrooms are set with twin beds, are all en suite with baths or showers and they offer decent storage space.

Extra touches– The chalet building has heated boot warmers in the basement and ski lockers at ground floor level. Free Wi-Fi is also included. Chalet Charvet will be definitely a great choice if you love to be first on the slopes and perfect for groups of friends and families alike.

This package holiday to Chalet Charvet in Val d'Isere, France departs Sunday 28th December 2025, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...

The main area in the chalet was really good and the staff were really lovely, I thought. Very friendly young people and very attentive. The bedroom was quite titchy but it’s fine as we were just in it to sleep. We loved the food and we were kept well fed throughout the week. Breakfasts were great too. I have been to Val D’Isere a number of times but this was the first time I’ve had ski in ski out, which was great. We went snowshoeing on a whiteout day and the chalet hosts helped us with where to go etc, and it was lovely. The great thing about Val D’Isere is there is so much to do.
