Location: where is Chalet Bayona

Chalet Bayona is located 50m from the Plan Peisey ski school (ESF), 6-person chairlift and the Vanoise Express lift to access the La Plagne ski area.

Plan Peisey is located at 1650m and offers skiers the best location to enjoy the Les Arcs and La Plagne ski areas, known as the Paradiski area. Easy lift access is available throughout the village for the Les Arcs ski area, and the Vanoise Express is the lift that links Les Arcs and La Plagne.

Although small in size Peisey offers a good number of bars, 2 shopping centres, and restaurants, and for those seeking just a little bit more - Vallandry is located 10 minutes away. The skiing back to Plan Peisey is very scenic through the trees which offer shelter in bad conditions.

Appetising Canapés & Apéritifs

On arrival in your chalet, handmade pre-dinner canapés and apéritifs will be served to you in the lounge while your experienced chalet host welcomes you to your chalet and introduces you to the resort.

Delicious Cooked Breakfasts

Start your day with a delicious cooked breakfast that includes bacon, eggs, Heinz beans or hash browns and mushrooms or tomatoes plus a selection of cereals, porridge, yogurts and fresh bread. Served 8am to 9am.

Homemade Cakes & Afternoon Tea

Scrumptious homemade cakes and a choice of teas are provided every day, best enjoyed while you relax in the lounge area in front of the log fire.

Hearty Three Course Dinner

Home cooked evening meal served at 8pm with unlimited carefully selected red, white or rosé wine (6 days), with an additional 4th course of local cheese board with port on the Thursday evening. After dinner, fresh ground coffee or decaffeinated coffee as well as tea is served in the lounge.

Dietary Requirements

We strive to ensure that your specific dietary requirements and preferences are catered for as best we can. Please let us know at least 14 days prior to your holiday start date, to ensure that this is possible. Our team can cater for special dietary requirements be they for medical reasons, religious reasons or simply personal preference. Our chalet hosts will be advised of these requirements in advance of your stay and every effort will be made to ensure that they are met. However, we cannot guarantee that certain ingredients will not be in the environment nor can we guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur.

Children's Food

Children aged 11 and under will be served High Tea at around 6pm. This is provided at no extra cost and ensures that your child's normal routine is not disturbed: soft drinks or milk are served with the meal. It also ensures that adults can enjoy their evening meal, which is served at 8pm. If you have booked a whole chalet then you can eat together - please speak to your chalet hosts on arrival.

The Festive Season

An Alpine chalet is a wonderful place to spend the festive season. We provide Christmas trees and decorations. On the day itself, you can look forward to aperitifs, turkey with all the trimmings, flaming Christmas pudding, mince pies, and of course, Christmas crackers. For New Year most of our resorts will have torch-lit descents, fireworks and other celebrations. Alternatively, you could just enjoy New Year's Eve dinner in your chalet with a glass or two of fizz.

We update Chalet Bayona's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Les Arcs came to be in 1968 after a group of ski instructors and architects dreamt up a resort with all the perks of a village but a mountainside location. It grew into one of the largest, most incredible ski areas in the Alps. The closest airport is Chambery with a transfer time of a couple of hours, plus transport links from Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble. Present-day Les Arcs consists of four main purpose built villages. The original resort, Arc 1600, was created for doorstep skiing and is linked by a funicular ...
As you'd expect from one of the biggest ski areas on the planet, there's everything from gorgeous tree-lined runs to wild, white-knuckle off-piste. For beginners, each of the 3 main Arcs has 'ski tranquille' zone, and the wide beginner runs leading to the resort have gentle gradients perfect for practising. Local instructors are on hand to show you the ropes, with ski schools based in each of the main villages (1800 has the most). There are magic carpet lifts at 1800 and 2000 - an easy way for newbies to get up ...
If you're looking for a party, Arc 1800 is the place to be. With heaps of watering holes like the Red Hot Saloon (or the 'Red Bar' to use local lingo), Benji's and La Folie Douce. If you're looking for more of a French-style après spot, Ambiente Cafe has a really cool atmosphere and lots of nice cocktails (happy hour usually starts at 4) while Le club 1950 your venue if you're looking to party into the wee hours. Arc 1600's a little quieter but for good music and a scenic terrace check out Les 2 Têtes. In te...

This was the best ski holiday we have ever had. Everything was made so easy and enjoyable easy transfer, perfect chalet with outstanding hosts, superb food including Christmas dinner, ski equipment and passes delivered to the chalet (and a visit at the end of day 1 to make sure all was OK) and a main ski lift opposite the front door. We were a group of 14, 3 families with children ranging from 11 to 24 and this was the ideal way to go skiing.

"Already raving about it to friends, family, ski club colleagues and work contacts."

A superb holiday in Chalet Bayona which was arranged quite late in the day by ourselves. Superb! Probably one of the best ski holidays our family has had. Fantastic chalet hosts who made us feel very welcome from the outset in a spotless chalet, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The Chalet is in the best position - 2 minutes from the bottom chairlift and ESF meeting point -what more could you want! Light, airy dining area and bedrooms which are spacious - space to read, relax and play after a day on the slopes.
