Overview: chalet description: Chalet Attila description

Chalet Attila nestles amongst the trees and is very popular due to its location in La Tania, minutes from the piste....

The chalet has a bright and modern design but also feels very homely, there is a wood burner and lots of bright window areas, you can see the La Tania gondola passing by the chalet. There is a cost mezzanine floor with a TV area, although each bedroom has its own small Freeview TV/DVD player ideal for children. There are six bedrooms, four twins and two purpose built triples room. You book the chalet for 12 but it can accommodate a maximum of 14 people if you choose. All the bedrooms are modern with en-suite baths with a shower. The position means you get wonderful views of La Tania and it gets a lot of the sunshine. At the end of the day rest those weary bodies in the outdoor hot-tub.
You can only book sole use of this chalet this season.

Its location is fantastically close to the ‘Moretta Blanche’ run, from the piste it's a very short ski to the telecabine. The ski schools meet next to the cabine.

Nestled in the forests between Courchevel and Meribel offering excellent access to both resorts, La Tania is known as the Three Valleys' best-kept secret. Proud to be eco-friendly, the resort facilities are powered by a hydro-electric system and has a car-free centre. Despite its modernity, the village has been designed in-keeping with traditional wooden Savoyard architecture, integrated amongst the beautiful forest scenery. The local businesses are mostly Brit-owned, but visitors can still find very French si...

You can make your way over to Courchevel and Meribel on skis alone. There is a wide range of ski and snowboard schools offering group and private lessons for all ages. After a day on the slopes, La Tania is a peaceful base to unwind in. The atmosphere is mostly quiet and relaxed, but some après fun can be found. "A day at Attila"

This was our Attila day - wake up to the smell of bacon and fresh coffee, wander into jaw-dropping views over La Tania and across the valley, lounge around the huge table laden with goodies, grab skis and boots and walk the 50 metres to the slopes, ski all day in the wonderful 3 valleys, return to fresh cake, pile into the outside hot tub in the snow, to watch other returning skiers, saunter back upstairs for canapes and a kir, eat sumptuously well in good company with generous and attentive hosts, flop on the comfy sofas in front of the log burner to chat, review the day and plan tomorrow's adventures, then sleep and it all starts again!

"Perfect Chalet, Wonderful Hosts, Great location"

As a group of 13 (3 families) with kids ranging from 14-21, we found Chalet Attila to be the perfect accommodation for us. Spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. The chalet hosts Jack & Emily were fantastic. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and we were always met with a smile. Breakfast was perfect, always fresh eggs, bacon, pancakes on offer together with the fresh bread that was delivered each morning, along with choices of cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc A fresh cake awaited us on our return from skiing each day, even on the chalet hosts day off. Then it was into the hot tub to relax the muscles. The 3 course meal, preceded by canapes and kir on the 6 evenings was very good, followed by cheese, biscuits and port. The piste was only 1 minute walk away, and although it is classed as a red run, the short section that you ski from the chalet to the ski lift is more like a blue. We had a fabulous week and will definitely return.

The food was second to none and there was plenty of it - too much in fact. All the hard work and exercise on the pistes was quickly undone with the afternoon cakes and the canapes and 3 course dinner - I'm sure we've all put on weight. The chalet is kept spotlessly clean by the hosts and the hot tub is to die for. Also kept very clean. My only criticism, is that the accommodation is a bit cramped. There is limited storage in the room we were in (loft apartment). This could be improved with little cost. The size of the bedroom is small - but it could all be overcome with more storage. Also the boot room is too small for 12 guests. There's only seating for 2 people at a time. We realise that this isn't the fault of the tour operator, and the original boot room has been converted into an apartment for the owner - but it's far too small for the size of the accommodation. One big plus is that there is an added lounge area above the kitchen. This was a great bonus. Plus there are tv's in everyones room. We didn't switch it on, but it's a nice added extra.
