Overview: chalet description: Chalet Amethyste 1 description

Chalet Amethyste 1 (Sleeps 10), Chalets Amethyste 1 & 2, La Tania: Contained within one larger chalet, Amethyste 1 and 2 share the same entrance and ski deposit but are otherwise quite separate chalets. However there is the flexibility to use both chalets to accommodate a larger ski group of up to 20 guests wanting a catered ski chalet holiday in La Tania. The two separate lounges allow for differing requirements within the group: some may wish to have a quieter time or to watch a DVD whilst others chat over their day around the fire.

Chalet Amethyste 1 is a comfortable pinewood chalet on the ground and first floor of the building. It has a spacious lounge with a classic wood finish and seating for everybody around a centrally positioned fireplace, creating a warm and welcoming place to relax and unwind. The open plan dining area with French windows leads onto the large South-West facing terrace; a great outdoor space for guests to enjoy. The traditional pine-finished bedrooms all have full en-suite facilities with bright, fully tiled bathrooms and heated towel rails. The chalet is equipped with electric boot warmers for your comfort, a DVD player and free Wi-Fi for your convenience and enjoyment.

Chalet Amethyste hosts live out.

All rooms can take a cot except room 5 (some rooms may be a tight fit)

Please note: We do not change towels mid week. Chalet hosts eat with guests.

Nestled in the forests between Courchevel and Meribel offering excellent access to both resorts, La Tania is known as the Three Valleys' best-kept secret. Proud to be eco-friendly, the resort facilities are powered by a hydro-electric system and has a car-free centre. Despite its modernity, the village has been designed in-keeping with traditional wooden Savoyard architecture, integrated amongst the beautiful forest scenery. The local businesses are mostly Brit-owned, but visitors can still find very French si...

You can make your way over to Courchevel and Meribel on skis alone. There is a wide range of ski and snowboard schools offering group and private lessons for all ages. There are gentle green runs for novices from the top of the gondola all the way back down to the centre. The blue run ‘Folyères’ on the other side of the lifts is a great place to de...
After a day on the slopes, La Tania is a peaceful base to unwind in. The atmosphere is mostly quiet and relaxed, but some après fun can be found. Le Bouc Blanc is a popular restaurant at the top of the gondola from the village, ideal for relaxing in the sun with a drink on a deckchair. Great value for money, prices are a fraction to those in other places. Pub Le Ski Lodge attracts most of the nightlife, hosting regular live music performances and themed nights. The crowds gather for happy hour, and they air the...

Our chalet hosts provided an outstanding service by providing good quality food which all the group enjoyed and dishes were often left empty (i.e. bread and butter pudding plus afternoon cakes). They were fun and helped with booking our Apres Ski (i.e. Massage, Comedy Evening, etc) - recommend the ladies to host future chalets - Well Done!!!
