Our trip to Nendaz was great, it’s a nice resort. Fantastic chalet overall. It was brand new so there were a couple of niggly little faults, like stuff we should have had but didn’t appear (like Wi-Fi speakers). Parts of the chalet weren’t finished. The actual chalet is nice though and I’d recommend it without a doubt. + more

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Altair description

Chalet Altair is thoroughly deserving of its Signature tag. Built and first opened in 2016 this chalet can boast an endless list of impressive features which make it one of the finest chalets offer. Maintaining an authenticity to Swiss mountain architecture, yet purveying a unique appearance and interior design, it really is something to behold…

With the exclusivity of the penthouse floor in the luxury development, the simple solid oak front door does well to veil the cavernous luxury chalet beyond. Stepping into Chalet Altair you’ll be forgiven for audibly gasping at the interior. The heated slate floors, handmade furniture and traditional granite fireplace are mere appetisers to the luxury beds, spacious bathroom suites, magnificent terraces – of which there’s two – and fantastic lounges. Oh yes, there’s 3 of those!

Four en-suite bedrooms are located off the entrance hallway with a further two located up the glass fronted elbow-staircase which overlooks the open-plan lounge and dining area. With its large wooden dining table as a centrepiece and under a beam-vaulted ceiling, this living area is the kind of communal chalet space you’d write home about.

On the panoramic balcony outside the main lounge you’ll find a private hot tub. There’s also another lounge leading to a roof terrace on the mezzanine floor and both have truly magnificent views of the Rhone valley and the Haute d’Cry mountain range. A snug-lounge up the stairs and under the eaves from the mezzanine makes a great place to cosy-in and watch a movie.

As all rooms can be configured either with twin beds or a king-sized double bed, we will make them up as twins unless advised otherwise.

With our Signature properties we offer upgrades to private transfers and a choice of departure times with a variety of scheduled airlines and from a selection of UK airports. Please call our team for prices and details of options available

This is a Signature chalet so you can enjoy extra features including champagne on your first evening, our specially designed Signature menu and additional luxurious extras. Please note: newspapers are not available in this property.

In North Switzerland, bordering the French Alps, Nendaz is set in the heart of the world renowned 4 Valleys which links it to 4 other ski resorts: super stylish Verbier, natural beauty La Tzoumaz, traditional Veysonnaz and gateway to the 4 Valleys, Thyon. You may well feel like you’ve stepped off the set of Heidi as you weave amongst the narrow paths connecting Swiss chalets, apartment buildings and quaint old barns. A guided visit of this historic village also takes you to the Tsâblo water mill: renovated ...
Located right in the heart of the 4 Valleys, it couldn’t be easier to access the full extent of the massive 412km skiing area, from Verbier to Veysonnaz. This is the best equipped resort of the 4 Valleys when it comes to learning to ski. There’s a specific beginners’ zone at the top of the main bubble lift from the village, where little ones will love taking the magic carpets up and down the slopes. Once the basics are mastered, the gentle, expansive blue runs and manageable reds from the top of the Tracou...
The nightlife here might not be as raucous as next-door neighbour Verbier but it’s definitely a lot more affordable - whether you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing drink or to party late into the night, there should be more than enough to meet all needs. The main après venue of choice is the Cheers Bar at the Hotel Les Etagnes - with a big sun terrace overlooking the main slope, there isn’t a better spot for a few beers or a warming vin chaud. Tchin Tchin is a toasty bar serving great pizzas, pasta and fres...

"Not finished, but still amazing"

Our trip to Nendaz was great, it’s a nice resort. The chalet wasn’t quite finished so we had things like some of the shower doors weren’t on… We were meant to have robes and slippers and iPod docks which didn’t arrive until the middle of the week... The boot room didn’t have any racks for snowboards… There was only one key fob for the lift between our group of 12, so some of us had to walk down the stairs. However it was still absolutely amazing, especially for the price. The best bits were that the hot tub was great and it was nice having lots of different living areas – there are two or three separate areas and although we were one big group it was nice to have them. The location was good as it was close to the lifts (only a couple of minutes’ walk).
