Location: where is Chalet Acajuma

Chalet Acajuma is located in one of France's most chic and desirable ski resorts, Val d'Isère. This stunning Savoyard village has loads of character and charm, plus one of the most highly regarded ski areas in the world. The connected area of Val d'Isère and Tignes offer over 300km of slopes, with something to suit all abilities, plus one of the best snow records in all of France. The chalet can be found on the Route du Petit Alaska, a pretty and peaceful street just a few minutes' walk to the main high street of Val d'Isère, where you'll find a fantastic selection of bars, shops and restaurants. The chalet is approximately 10 minutes' walk from the Solaise and Bellevarde lifts, which give fast access to the whole of the Val d'Isere-Tignes area.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Acajuma description

Chalet Acajuma is a stylish and high quality property, with a finish that blends chic modern furnishings with traditional Savoyard architecture. With five bedrooms spread across four floors and space to accommodate up to twelve guests, this beautiful property would make the perfect home-from-home for your family or friends. One feature we particularly love about this chalet is the underfloor heating throughout, which can be controlled by individual thermostats for each room.

Entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor, where you'll find a ski and boot store where you can store your equipment, which is also equipped with heated boot driers, to ensure you've got lovely warm toes each morning before hitting the slopes. There's also a garage with space for one car, so if you're driving to resort, you'll have somewhere to keep the car safe from Val d'Isère's notoriously heavy snowfall, plus an additional space outside on the driveway. For added luxury that will set this chalet apart from the crowd, on the ground floor there is a wellness space, with indoor hot tub and sauna, perfect for easing the aches and pains that can come after a long day of attacking the slopes. There is also a separate WC on this floor, so those using the wellness area don't have to dash all the way back upstairs.

Most of the communal living spaces are located on the second floor, where you'll find a beautiful open plan living/kitchen/dining room which has a lovely fireplace, perfect for keeping you toasty and warm on a cold winters night and large picture windows and a sizeable terrace from which you can enjoy the stunning views that Val d'Isère has to offer. The dining table has enough space to seat up to twelve guests, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family that has been prepared in the full equipped kitchen, complete with an oven, four-ring hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, nespresso machine and coffee percolator.

The living room sofas are deep and comfortable and the perfect spot in which to unwind with a glass of wine or hot chocolate by the roaring fire, whilst reading a book or playing a board game with friends, which you'll find a selection of at your disposal in the chalet. If the group can't agree on evening activities, Chalet Acajuma offers an additional TV/sitting room on the first floor with a large flat screen smart TV, so there's no problem if you want to chill out and watch your favourite film or series on Netflix using the chalet's free wifi, whilst others sit and chat or play games by the fireplace upstairs.

There are five comfortable bedrooms in the chalet each with its own flat screen television, so if you fancy a quiet night to yourself one evening, you can curl up in your bed and catch up on your favourite series or just get an early night. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, each with a king size double bed (160cm x 200cm) and en-suite bathrooms, one of which has a shower, the other a bath. The remaining three bedrooms have twin beds (90cm x 200cm), one with a balcony and the others both with en-suite bathrooms, one of which has a bath and the other a shower. These five bedrooms sleep up to ten guests, but if you're looking to squeeze in a couple more, there are two sofa beds that can be made in the television lounge on the first floor. All of the beds have the finest 30cm spring mattresses, as well as memory foam toppers providing the ultimate comfort, although perhaps this may make it a little tricky to get up each morning.

If you're driving to Val d'Isère the chalet has a car parking space available for one car in front of the chalet.

Premium Contactless Catering Service

Your chalet will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready and fridges stocked*, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won't see us. We'll be at the end of the phone, but there will be no contact, unless you need it. We will visit your chalet mid-week to give it a full clean and change of towels and bed-linen, but this shall be done during the day, whilst you're out on the slopes. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.

Our contactless catering service comes with the choice of two pricing options, a fixed menu with food and drink included in the price, and our à la carte option which allows you greater flexibility to eat and drink whatever you desire and the cost of the food is on supplement, at cost price, and depending on what produce you choose to order.

For those looking for a simple packaged chalet price, we are offering an all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast, snacks to take with you skiing, afternoon tea and cakes/snacks, pre-dinner nibbles a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights, with a selection of after dinner cheeses, plus champagne for your first night, a kir for before dinner and unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal.

Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. That's where our à la carte contactless catering service comes in. As an alternative to the service detailed above, we will also offer a lower rate, which does not include the food and drink for the week and we will give you the opportunity to order the food and drink of your choice, at the local hypermarket rates, and bill you for this afterwards. Four days before arrival, you will receive a comprehensive provisions list with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. That might be oven-ready meals, or the ingredients you'll need for Bolognaise, Soufflés or Cheese Fondues. Dry goods, dairy, fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat or fish, beers, wines, champagne, whatever, all bought for you and stocked in advance.

Our aim is to provide the safest possible environment for a ski holiday, whilst staying as affordable as possible. The new way to holiday will be by enjoying the facilities, food and beverages but without the staff waiting on you hand and foot. That will keep things safe and affordable. However, for those in search of a little more luxury, we are able to provide drivers, chefs, daily cleaning, ski lessons etc, all of which can be discussed at the time of booking or with our concierge service prior to arrival.

**Please note that for the à la carte option, all food, drink, ski hire and lift passes come at additional costs and are not included in the chalet price. Provisions will be billed at cost price and can be ordered from the list that will be sent out to you, and ski hire and lift passes can be booked in advance with our preferential rates. For our fixed menu option, the price does not include ski hire and lift passes, but it does include breakfast and afternoon tea for 7 days, plus a 3-course dinner with beer and wine for 6 days.

Private shuttle

Included in your stay at Chalet Acajuma is a private shuttle service to the resort centre or to the foot of the slopes every day except Saturdays.

We update Chalet Acajuma's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

This accommodation only holiday to Chalet Acajuma in Val d'Isere, France departs Sunday 23rd March 2025, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...
