We had a really good week with the most amazing weather and snow. The chalet is nice with a perfect position on the slopes. It’s not a beautiful place – it’s just one of those places that’s functional for skiing. We got a good price and the food was good. The guys that ran it did well. + more

We don't to leave! Great chalet with excellent hosts (thank you Charles and Jonno) the children had a fantastic time with Jamie-Lee ( the best nanny ever) we would live to take her home with us! The only down side would be that it would be pretty cramped in the chalet if it was full. + more

We loved location of chalet (with a young family it's brilliant). As we are a family of 3, renting a whole Chalet to ourselves is very expensive (prohibitively so as we have looked for last few years). The option of sharing with strangers this year worked really well for us as it meant we could still have a cha... + more

In the French Alps' Savoie region, La Plagne was established in the early sixties and now consists of 11 villages: 7 purpose built villages and 4 traditional villages. The aptly named Plagne Centre at the heart of the resort is the main hub of shops, restaurants and après ski. Just underneath lies Plagne 1800, a cluster of chalets spread across a steep hillside. Higher up are Aime-la-Plagne, Plagne-Soleil and Plagne-Villages, all accessible via chairlifts from Plagne Centre. Plagne Bellecote rests over a l...
There are plenty of nursery slopes with access to free beginner lifts and a wide choice of different ski schools for those new to skiing. The slopes around the Belle Plagne area are particularly suitable for beginners. The blue run linking Les Bauches to Montchavin provides a manageable step up in difficulty from the nursery slopes. For those who class themselves as intermediate skiers, La Plagne is paradise. 77% of the runs are graded either blue or red. Particular favourites are the run from La Grand Roch...
It might not rival Val d'sere or Verbier for their wild party scenes, but this is an exceptional resort for unique après ski opportunities. Try snowmobiling at night, ice climbing in Champagny, husky sledding, paragliding, extreme tobogganing and more! One experience not to be missed is the bobsleigh track, used for Olympic training. There are various ways you can choose to go down it, but they are all guaranteed to give you a thrill as you will hurtle down at speeds ranging from 80 km/hr up to a lightening 120...

We were woken every morning with cups of tea delivered to our room, continued with a sumptuous breakfast, escorted to ski school by Chris. After a long day skiing our children were kept constantly entertained by our wonderful nanny or by Chris and Charles's games, then fed great food before were were served extremely high quality of food served with the freshly polished cutlery. Both Charles and Chris were clearly proud of the level of friendly but professional service offered during our stay. Having been to at least 10 different chalets over the years I haven't seen this level of service, whilst all of us enjoyed their company.

"Enjoyable week"

We had a wonderful week skiing with our 3 year old child in La Plagne. From the moment we were greeted at the airport in Grenoble to meeting our chalet hosts in Bourget it was quite obvious that this was going to be a great holiday. Charles and Chris were exceptional hosts and surprised everyone with their sophisticated backing skills. The Hummingbird ain't got nothing on these guys!!!! The Guinness cake was definitely the highlight (can we please have the recipe.) The meals were well prepared and plentiful, I would say to at least a very decent restaurant quality and what was nice was age appropriate meals for the children. What made the holiday all the more enjoyable was the excellent care of the nanny Sarah who took excellent care of our son. This allowed to relax and enjoy the stay all the more.

"Great snow, fantastic team"

Thanks so much for a fantastic holiday- all the staff were fantastic and so accommodating with everything. The nannies were fantastic- Caitlin was amazing with Emma which meant we had a wonderful time skiing knowing she was having a blast herself. Great location and we we're lucky we had a huge dump of snow the night we arrived- perfect. The food was great and Charles was a great host doing all he could for us. Only two minor, minor gripes- you did ask for honest feedback. First one is if you have kids under 3 tea really has to be on time or else they get very, very stroppy! But young lads can't really understand that- just a note for next time. Also- the chalet is boiling hot- not much you can do about it due to district heating, but perhaps a humidifier(s) might help to make night time a bit more pleasant?

"Great location…"

As we are a family of 3, renting a whole Chalet to ourselves is very expensive (prohibitively so as we have looked for last few years). The option of sharing with strangers this year worked really well for us as it meant we could still have a chalet holiday which is what we like without it costing us a fortune. The ski school, hire shop (oxygen) & the nannies we used were fantastic - I can't rave about them enough & the convenient location of the chalet in La Plagne.
