You’re in one of St Anton’s prime spots here. It’s less than 10 minutes’ walk to both main gondolas, then when you’re done for the day you’ve got all the après action in the centre nearby too.

It might look traditional on the outside, but inside the Banyan is modern from top to toe. Creams, reds and blacks give each room a smart look, with chunky wooden beams to keep those alpine vibes alive. It doesn't skimp on the cosy touches either – like in the bar and lounge, where you can drop on a comfy chair in front of the fire and spend the evening sipping a local tipple or two.

Facilities-wise, it’s all about post-ski pampering. Wander down to the wellness to freshen up with a dip in the pool or sit back in the sauna to unwind in true mountain fashion. And if you fancy giving your ski muscles the proper VIP treatment, then you can pay a little extra for a massage.

Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. Thanks to local legend Hannes Schneider, St Anton opened the first ski school in 1921. The Skischule Arlberg continues to provide excellent tuition today, so beginners are in good hands. The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh).
