A place to ski high and party hard: As well as having some of the nation’s finest snow conditions, Ischgl’s neck and neck with St Anton for the title of Austria’s best après, which is cranked up at each end of the season with the legendary Top of the Mountain festivals.
Located high in the Tyrolean Alps, Ischgl sits on the Austrian-Swiss border with stunning views over the surrounding mountains. The old farming village has been fitted with modern luxuries including chic bars, nightclubs and smart hotels but has managed to maintain its alpine charm with traditional Tyrolean architecture. A combination of amazing skiing and awesome après in an attractive Tyrolean setting makes this a real Austrian snow-sporting hot spot.
The après scene is considered Austria’s second to St. Anton with a huge variety of lively bars and exclusive clubs for partying in true Austrian style. Beginning, middle and end of season concerts prove its partying prestige with the likes of Elton, Rihanna and Deep Purple as past headliners.
This is one of Austria’s highest altitude resorts with 240km of pisted runs on beautifully pristine snow. A major selling point is the state-of-the-art lift system with 44 high-speed lifts including heated chairs and Europe’s first double-decker gondola getting skiers across the mountain in comfortable style.
The resort sits on the Austrian-Swiss border and the VIP lift pass allows you to ski in to Switzerland’s Samnaun region where days can be spent shopping in chic boutiques and indulging in Swiss delicacies- all tax-free- before heading back on the double-decker Gondola. If you want more adventure, the Silvretta pass gives you further access to 71 lifts across the neighbouring resorts of Galtur, Kappl and See.
In light of what it has to offer, it’s surprising that Ischgl has remained Austria’s well-kept secret for so long, mainly attracting German and Austrian clientele. Anyone lucky enough to have skied here is likely to rave about it – this is an amazing destination for groups, single skiers, families and couples alike - and at just a 90 minute transfer from Innsbruck airport it’s a breeze to get to.

Schwarzewand Everyone loves an Italian meal now and again so for a restaurant that keeps everyone happy make a mountain stop off at Schwarzewand. Located on Piste 22, it’s easy to get to for all abilities of skiing making it a great midday meeting point with your friends and family. As well as Italian specialities including pizza, this mountain hut also serves local specialities. Schwarzewand is a self service restaurant on the mountain.

Apres usually kicks off around 4pm and things get bigger and better as the night goes on with DJ’s, discos and dancing!

Kitzloch The Kitzloch in Ischgl is since several years the hotspot in the local après ski scene when it comes to originality and atmosphere. From 3pm to 7pm our guests enjoy one of the most unique and special party shows in town, where our team and DJ’s deliver an extraordinary experience to finish up a great ski day on the mountain. At the latest when the Kitzloch Eisbear shows his presence, the traditional wooden interior is on party fire. Wellness facilities at the Silvretta Centre There’s no better place to go to rejuvenate after a cold day on the snow than the wellness centre at the Silvretta – it pretty much has everything you’ll need to get your body relaxed and your stresses relieved. The wellness area has a public sauna, steam room, solarium and infa-red room for soaking up the rays as well as a cold grotto and relaxation rooms. You will find massage jets in the centre’s swimming pool but for real indulgence, book a proper massage with one of the centre’s beauty therapists. Massage treatments include sports massage, hot stone massage, aromatherapy massage and Thai massage and manicures and pedicures are also available.
Silvretta Sports and Leisure Centre The Silvretta Sports and Leisure centre more or less has everything under one roof. There’s a great indoor adventure pool where you can swim, play or relax with massage jets and deckchairs, a brilliant wellness centre, bowling alley, internet cafe and restaurant. The centre also has 4 indoor tennis courts with tennis rackets available to hire.
Mini Golf Ischgl’s brilliant 18 hole Mini golf course open in the spring and summer (through to the end of September) from 10am to 10pm. There’s also an 10 hole Pit-Pat for billiard golf if you want to try something new! With a Kiosk serving snacks and drinks, this is somewhere to relax and have lots of fun with your friends and family.
High-Ropes-Course A high rope climbing garden in Ischgl where you can brave heights and obstacles, balance on beams and cables, swing on the giant swing, go up the climbing wall and face the daredevil Flying Fox dismount... you will learn how to wear and use your helmet and climbing belt, practicing abseiling and rope climbing before you go on to the real course!
