· 5 minutes’ walk to the resort centre · next to the ski bus for the Penken-Horberg (12-minute bus ride) · 10 minutes' walk to the bus stop for the Zillertal Arena ski area (2-minute bus ride)
Run by the Eberharter family since it was built in 1963, it’s the down-to-earth atmosphere and personal service that make this stay special. Each morning you'll fuel up from a hot and cold buffet spread, then in the evenings get set for three courses of Authentic Austrian fare. We're talking stews, schnitzels and strudels smothered in vanilla sauce – just the ticket after a day on the slopes.
Everything’s done up in fresh whites and calm creams, with plenty of wood to add that alpine touch. And whatever you pick, you can make the most of the facilities to unwind at the end of the day. Pop into the bar for an après tipple or two, before slipping on your swimming costume for some leisurely laps of the pool and a spell in the sauna.
You’ve got options when it comes to skiing too. Take your pick from the top-notch Mayrhofen and Zillertal Arena ski areas, then hop on the free ski bus that stops outside to get to both in around 10 minutes.
